Chapter 20

Alondra

                I woke up on my birthday morning feeling like shit! I ran to my bathroom to throw up. Rose has been cooped up in her room for the past days for whatever reason, while I was sick as hell every morning. I brushed my teeth once I was done feeding the toilet my face. I knocked on Rose’s door, it was only 9 so I assumed she was sleep when I heard no answer. When I was about to walk off, Rose peeked outside her door rubbing her eyes.

                “What’s up with you being anti-social?” I asked her.

                “Happy Birthday, Alondra.” She dragged her words and yawned.

                “Thanks, now can I come in and talk to you?”

                She didn’t say anything else, just kept peeking out at me. I was starting to get annoyed. “Um, I’ll be out later Alondra, I’m still a little sleepy.”

                “Come on, it will only be for a second.” I begged her.

                “Okay.” She opened the door and pulled the covers over her head. I rolled my eyes at how stubborn she was. I mean come on who sleeps under covers in June?

                “Are you crazy Rose? It’s 90 degrees outside are you trying to die?” I snatched the covers off of her. I put a squint in my eyes so I could get a good look at her face. I folded my arms across my chest as Rose flipped her hair in front of her face.

                “Too late for that now. Who hit you?” I looked at her seriously.

                “Nobody hit me Alondra!” she held her head down in shame.

                “I’m no dummy and that there on your face is a bruise from someone raising their hand up at you.” Rose was silent looking at me. “Was it Jaden?” Once again silence. She didn’t need to tell me anything because her face said it all. “Oh hell no! You better not had let that lying dirty-dick bastard put his hands on you!” I was boiling.

                “Look Alondra, it’s none of your business.” She rubbed her hand on her belly.

                “Yes the fuck is my business!”

                “This is between me and Jaden, not between me, you and Jaden! Now get out!” she yelled.

                I ran into her bathroom to throw up again. This was getting annoying and nasty! Alexis came in there also standing behind me laughing. I didn’t know what was so damn amusing about my head being in the toilet every damn morning. Rose stood there looking at us fuming red.

                “What is so damn funny bitch?” I shot at Alexis.

She was laughing even harder now. “You’re pregnant Alondra, that’s what’s so damn funny.” She shook her head at me and kept laughing.

                Rose eyebrow shot up and a smirk came upon her lips. “You’re pregnant?”

                I didn’t say anything else to either of them. Both of them were getting on my nerves I just wanted to be alone. My mom came rushing into Rose room.

                “I’m tired of you two fighting.” She pointed to me and Rose. “Now Alondra I want you to leave for a day or two so you two can keep from ripping each other faces off.”
