Chapter 24

Alondra

                I sat on the couch watching Jaden stand over Rose changing their baby diaper. They loved their baby boy, they were just so cute loving and caring for him… (Rolls eyes) RIGHT! Jaden got up to leave and gave his baby a kiss on his nose while Rose got up to walk him to the door. She put little Jason in his crib then sat down on the couch Indian style. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and looked over at me.

                “What?” I looked up from my phone.

                “Do you have something to say to me?” Rose asked me.

                “Something like what?” my eyebrow rose.

                “Idk. Something, anything, every time Jaden comes around your eyes can never keep still and you get this funky attitude, so what’s up? Are you fucking him?”

                Laugh my ass off. Wait. Pause for a moment. Is she serious? I chuckled under my breath thinking of something to say but nothing came to mind. Maybe she’s just paranoid or something I haven’t been showing any shade… or have I?

                “No, nothing Rose that’s crazy matter of fact.” She got up from the couch and came over to me. Her hand rubbed my seven month pregnant belly. “Yeah about this little girl in here, do you think you will move with Ben or Jaden? Because it’s going to get a BIT crowded with all of us here.”

                “Oh.” She stopped rubbing my belly and laughed nervously. “I really haven’t thought about that Alondra, I guess you’re right.” She held her head down.

                “I’m not kicking you out or anything you can stay here as long as you have to, I’m just saying.” I cleared up my statement.

                “I’ll see! Now what are you still doing undressed? Your baby shower does start in the next two hours.” Rose looked down at the maternity t-shirt and red jogging pants I had on.

                I slapped my hand on my forehead. “I forgot, let me go do that right now.” I headed to the bathroom while Rose went over to her baby’s crib.

                “Well alright! That was one hell of a baby shower.” I looked over at Alexis who was dying laughing from what had just happened.

                “Yeah that shit is going down for the most RATCHET baby shower ever.” She doubled over in laughter.

                Let me explain what happened at my baby shower. Everybody who wasn’t supposed to be here was here. People like Jaden, Coco, and Xavier. On top of that Xavier found out that I had been sleeping with Jaden behind his back which got me a slap to my face. That slap led to Brendon and Xavier throwing blows to each other. Skeletons really came out the closets after that, Xavier then found out that Coco’s baby might be Jaden’s her baby is due any day now so they’ll be finding that out soon.

                Rose found out that I had been doing my thing with Jaden from time to time after we squashed our beef. She told me, “You’re lucky you’re pregnant you stank hoe.” Those words led me to slap her and say, “Bitch you wish you was me so what if I’m pregnant we can still get down!” She just laughed at my ass when Ben held her back then took her anger out on Alexis who was laughing at all the shit that was going down. Those two were beating the shit out of each other. Brendon and Ben were the only two decent adults that didn’t have anything to do with the drama so they calmed the whole situation down.

                Alexis is definitely right, this baby shower is as ratchet as anything gets. Oh yeah, what about my gifts? Well I got everything I needed and above. Rose brought me diapers that will last um… for a long ass time, Brendon brought clothes and shoes one baby didn’t need. Alexis got me a car seat and booster seat. Xavier brought her a crib, stroller, and bassinet. My mother brought her everything from bottles to toys to clothes. I wish she would have stayed because none of this would have gone down. Overall, my baby shower was fun, crazy, and RATCHET!

                “I wish I could just rewind this day, this was not supposed to happen.” I explained to Alexis while looking at the small bruise on my face. “I can’t believe this nigga actually slapped me.”

                “To be honest, I would have slapped yo cheating ass too! But at the end of the day Xavier love your ass.” Alexis assured me.

                “And I love him too but it wasn’t supposed to go down like that. I wanted to tell him myself”

                Rose packed her shit and got the fuck out, Ben told her they could stay in a hotel together until she figured out what she was going to do. I didn’t give a shit if she died tomorrow she talk too much shit for me to bear with. It’s all good though, I ain’t got shit else to say to her. Fuck ROSE! Put an emphasis on the F when you’re saying fuck too because that’s how I feel.

                The next morning, Alexis woke me up to tell me that Rose was at the door. I told her to go in my room because I didn’t want those two fucking up my shit once again. I let Rose in and her eyes were red and puffy, she brushed towards me with little Jason in his car seat.

                “I just came to get the rest of my baby’s clothes.” Rose sat him down.

                “Get it and leave.” I sat back down on my couch.

                Rose went into her old room to gather his things, I picked up little Jason from his car seat and he gave me the most handsome smile of gums. I kissed him on his nose and smiled back he was so adorable. Rose came out with his diaper bag and clothes then stopped.

                “Could you put my son back in his car seat please?” She walked towards me.

                I sat him back in his car seat then strapped him in. Rose rolled her eyes at me then picked him up. “Bye.” I said to her before she left.

                “You know what Alondra,” She spun back around. “You don’t have shit else to say to me, you’re just a hoe who wants everybody’s man I’ll be surprised if you didn’t try to take Ben from me but luckily I have a man that loves me and my baby so from this day forward you can chalk up any words that you want to say to me because I don’t want to hear it.”

                “Me? A hoe? Lol that’s just crazy considering you were the one who slept with my man times before let’s not forget I was still with him so don’t go calling anyone a hoe without looking in the mirror first because one will be looking right back at you, now leave my house, hoe.” I shot back at her.

                Rose fought back tears and headed towards the door I watched her get in the car with Ben as he drove off. I laughed at Alexis who came out of my room with the Vaseline and her hair tied up. Rose was officially dead to me and if we cross paths when I have my child, there will be trouble.

                “You always want to fight somebody.” I told her to put the Vaseline back up.

                “So have you figured out what you’re gonna name her?” Alexis rubbed her hand over my belly.

                “Yes,” I held on to my stomach when I felt her kick. “Her name is going to be A’Leah.”
