Whatever was coming was approaching swiftly. We could not see where the sound was coming from. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on my surroundings. I heard what appeared to be rabbit feet, very large rabbit feet. It sounded as if they were dragging something with them. I smiled at the thought. There's only one person that could be.

"What is it?" Thorin asked me, I did not replied. I just grinned at him.

"Thieves! Fire! Murder!" was cried from the bushes. Then, Radagast flew out from the trees. He nearly scared the wits out the company. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Radagast." Gandalf greeted him. "It's Radagast the Brown." He walked over the other wizard. "Well...what on earth are you doing here?"

"I was looking for you, Gandalf. Something's wrong. Something's terribly wrong."

"Yes?" Gandalf needed elaboration. Radagast started to say something, but then he stopped. He huffed and groaned that he had forgotten his thought.

"Oh. I had a thought and now I've lost it. It was right there on the tip of my tongue." He paused. "Oh. It's not a thought at all. It's a silly old stick insect." Gandalf pulled the critter from Radagast's mouth.

"Ew." slipped out of my mouth before I could catch myself. Radagast turned to me.

"Roslina! I thought that was you!" He rushed over to embrace me. "It's so lovely to see you, dear. It's been too long."

"Indeed it has. It's lovely to see you, too." I smiled up at him. Then he returned to speak with Gandalf. Truthfully, I wanted to know what they were talking about, but I learned long ago that eavesdropping was not always wise. You might hear things that you'd wish you hadn't. The rest of the company and I waited impatiently for the wizards to finish their conversation. I was sitting on a fallen tree covered in moss. Thorin walked over to me. We had hardly spoken to each other since that night on the cliff. I was trying to avoid it.

"Thank you." He said almost like he had to force it out.

"For what?"

"Distracting the trolls. I know it was your idea."

"It was my idea but Bilbo is the one who carried out the deed." I looked at him and he turned away. "You should not doubt him, you know. He's proven to be just as valuable to this expedition as any of the rest of us." I know he was thinking of a way to counter me, so I went on. "You should be thanking him." He scoffed and stomped away. He had way too much pride to admit when he was wrong. Some things never change. I sniggered in my head. It was interrupted by a howl. I jumped up.

"Was that a wolf? Are there wolves out here?" Bilbo asked, clearly frightened.

"Wolves? No, that is not a wolf." Bofur responded.

I heard a low growl coming from above us on a large rock. Just then, a warg leapt to attack. Thorin killed it, but his sword got lodge in the beast's thick skin. Another wargs was coming at Thorin from behnd. "Kili! Get your bow!" Thorin shouted but I was way ahead them. Just before it reached his back, I shot the foul animal right between the eyes.

"Warg scouts." Thorin announced, like we didn't already know..."Which means an orc pack is not far behind."

"Orc pack?" Bilbo grew nervous.

"Who did you tell about your quest beyond your kin?" Gandalf demanded.

"No one."

"Who did you tell?" Gandalf repeated. He did not believe Thorin.

"No one, I swear. What in Durin's name is going on?"

"You're being hunted." Gandalf said.

"We have to get out of here." Dwalin remarked.
