Max's POV:

Percy Jackson. Sounds catchy.

Max Nothing. Sounds....I don't know.

"Are you one of us?" Percy asks me, putting a pen cap on the tip of his sword and it turns back to a ballpoint pen. Cool pen, bro, where'd you get that?

"Unless you have a pendant around your neck," I answer. I look at his neck, but he doesn't have a pendant like the one I used to have. I don't look at the necklace he's wearing. It reminds me of my pendant, and that just makes me angry and depressed at the same time.

I look around but all I see is green and brown woods. I look back at Percy and ask, "What are you doing out here, anyways?"

"Went out for a walk. I need to relieve some stress," he replies. You have no idea. "What about you?"

"I was being chased by that," I say, nodding my head towards the Mogadorian's ashes.

He stares at me intently, and I'm starting to get a little freaked out. What does this look-alike want from me? I look like him, so what? It's just a coincidence, right?

"Follow me. I want to show you something," Percy orders, and without an answer, he turns around to the direction he came from. After a few seconds, he looks back at me, and I haven't moved. "Don't worry, I'm friendly. You comin' or not?"

I sigh and roll my eyes, but follow him anyways. He leads me deeper into the woods until we near a lake. Beyond that lake is a sign that reads 'Camp Half-Blood.' Camp Half-Blood? Never heard of it.

Percy goes straight inside, and he looks back towards me again. "You'll be safe from those things in here, if you're one of us."

What does he mean by 'one of us'? Is he a Garde whose pendant has been stolen like me? If so, then what number is he?

I inhale deeply, and follow him in. And what's inside shocks me. It's not what a camp is supposed to be like at all. There are cabins, yes, but there are all sorts of weapons and places to train. There's even a rock-climbing wall spewing...What is that, lava?!

I look at Percy and he's staring wide-eyed at me. "What?" I ask, confused.

"Nothing," Percy replies, shaking his head and looking at the camp. "Come on, trust me, it's cool."

I follow Percy to the camp, and everyone seems to be looking at him. Or are they looking at me? I ignore them and continue to follow Percy as he walks to a tall blonde with stormy gray eyes. Like Percy and everyone else in this place, -camp, whatever it is- she's wearing an orange t-shirt with 'Camp Half-Blood' on it. I guess that's their thing. She's also wearing short shorts and dirty white gym shoes. Percy gives her a peck on the lips, and that's when she notices me.

"Hey, Percy. Who's your sister?" The blonde asks, smiling brightly at me. Sister?! She thinks I'm his sister?! I'm about to burst out laughing when Percy jumps in.

"She's not my sister. Just crashed into her in the woods," Percy explains.

"Literally," I add in, remembering that I crashed into Percy as I was running away from the Mog.

Percy chuckles. The blonde looks at me and asks, "What's your name?"

"M..." I stop as I'm about to say 'Maggie'. That was my name in London, England three years ago, when that Mog killed me. I had my pendant then. I had my Cêpan then.
