Today is the day they leave to the North
Akira took her real form and Tokagawa got on her back
In a matter of minutes, they reached their meeting point
Kai and Nagisa were already there, waiting
Akira wasn't late, but she still didn't like that they had reached it before them
She morphed into her human form when they got close, so Nagisa didn't get a close look to her bird form
Tokagawa gave her a look, what was the big deal, they were going to see it soon enough, he shook his head and sighed, heading for his new companions
Tokagawa: Good morning, I hope we haven't made you wait for long
Nagisa smiled, shaking her head: You didn't. We were a little bit early, we didn't want to be late, and Kai flew too fast
Akira huffed
Nagisa and Kai greeted her, but she only nodded in recognition
Tokagawa ran a hand through his hair, it was going to be a long trip..
Kai: We better go..
The prince and priestess nodded
Kai, began transforming, blue light flooded around him, water surrounded him, and the large form of the water dragon emerged
Tokagawa looked impressed, and Nagisa smiled happily
Akira huffed, and Tokagawa looked at her, smiling and nodding for her to do the same
She blushed lightly, and in a whirlwind of fire and light, morphed into the great form of the fire bird
Nagisa gasped in awe. Her bird form was elegant, delicate and yet strong, radiant with light, with flames licking at it
She wanted to touch it, and she almost did, unconsciously, but Tokagawa grabbed her hand hurriedly, giving her a reluctant smile, shaking his head
Nagisa blushed and drew her hand back
They stood looking at eachother for a few seconds, the flames around Akira raged
Tokagawa snapped out of it, and said reprovingly: Akira..
The flames calmed instantly
Nagisa marvelled at effect the young prince had on his protector
Kai: Shall we..
Nagisa nodded and got on his back, and Tokagawa got on Akira's
Akira didn't wait for them, she took flight and launched into the sky
Kai rumbled a laugh, and launched himself after her
When he was next to her: What do you say to a race?
She ignored him
He continued: I bet we will beat you
She replied: Not a chance!
Then they both gained dizzying speeds, Tokagawa and Nagisa had to hold on with all their might
They were neck to neck for a long time, but their riders couldn't handle it after a while, and they had to rest
Tokagawa tired faster than Nagisa, because he wasn't used to flying, that made Akira falter, and slow down before Kai did, which ended up with him winning
He gloated: Well, well.. I won
Akira glared at him, her fire raging again
He taunted: My, my.. Your temper, in addition to your element is abvery dangerous combination
The fire raged more
Nagisa said in a warning tone: Kai..
He was having fun teasing Akira, but he knew he should stop before it got out of hand, which by the looks of it, could happen any minute
Kai: You did very well though, we almost tied, if not for the young prince not being used to it. Maybe you should have gotten him used to it
Tokagawa looked at him, his color was almost green: I'd prefer if she didn't, thank you very much
Kai laughed
Akira calmed down a bit, and morphed into her human form, she worried over Tokagawa, he assured her he was going to be fine
Nagisa was looking at them, smiling: They are really cute, just like siblings
Kai smiled at her: I assure you, they are not
She looked at him questioningly, and he sighed, must be denial. Anyone could see how that silly girl felt about him. Nagisa would notice soon enough, even if she didn't think it was a possibility right now, but that guy, he was just clueless
He felt for her, poor girl, there was nothing he could do about it. He'd tried to persuade her it was hopeless, but he'd only angered her, he sighed, time will show her, but it's going to be more painful this way
