Nagisa murmered a couple of prayers under her breath, this seemed to distract the demon

Just as she was going to ram into the priestess, a huge body crashed into her

It was Akira's true form, she had transformed and come to the rescue

Akira lifted her with her claws, throwing her away and engulfing her in flames

The demon girl dropped to the ground, screaming

She was badly burned, but apparently that wasn't enough. She stood up, seething with rage, and threw her tendrils towards Akira, who was having a hard time fighting all of them off. She had used her flames, but not all the tendrils dispersed

Out of nowhere, an even larger body slammed into the demon, knocking her down and successfully ending her attack on Akira

It was Kai in his dragon form. He summoned sharp icicles, piercing the demon's body

She cried with rage, and was going to retaliate, only to be knocked down again by Akira

With the joint efforts of the two massive beasts, they we're able to keep her down. She was defeated

Kai: Who sent you here?

She glared at him: He is stronger than all of you. He will destroy you

Akira: We're the ones who are going to destroy him

Tokagawa: Who is he?

The demon cackled: You will not know what hit you, when he's finished with you, there will be nothing left

Akira: If he is so strong and mighty, how come we have never heard of him before?

Demon: Nice try. I will never betray him. You will just have to find out yourselves. If you were smart, you would run far and fast

Nagisa: We have a duty towards the people to protect them

The demon ignored her

Akira could see them hesitating to kill her: We should end her

Nagisa: Maybe she wouldn't hurt anyone again

Akira: She will..

The demon took advantage of their occupation with this discussion and tried to pounce on Nagisa

Akira caught her and burned her with her flames

She screamed, and soon nothing was left of her, but an echo of dark energy

She had spent all her energy in her battle with Kai and Akira, and she didn't expect the latter to act so quickly

Nagisa was frozen in her place, she hadn't expected the demon to pounce on her, nor Akira to save her and destroy the girl so fast and without thought

She looked at Akira, both guys understood what she was thinking

Tokagawa: She was trying to kill you

Kai: She had proved she had no intention to change her ways

Nagisa: But..

Akira: Despite what you saw, she was a demon, she was nothing like a human and even if we did give her another chance, who was going to make sure she didn't hurt people anymore? Who was going to be responsible when she did? It's for the greater good, she was given a small chance, but she didn't take it

Akira had her back to them while she was talking. She walked away

Tokagawa followed her: Thank you for saving her. I know you don't like her very much

Akira shrugged, whispering: I only did it for you

He looked at her, startled, as she walked away again

He stood there, sighed and shook his head. He wanted her to save her at least because she was an innocent, not just because she mattered to him, yet he still didn't understand the full implication of her words

Kai, who had heard what they'd both said, sighed, and thought this time, he would leave her alone to think, after making sure she rested

Nagisa: Who do you think she meant, the one she said who was going to destroy us?

Kai: I don't know..

Tokagawa: She seemed very confident he was stronger than the both of you together

Nagisa: Was she really that strong? You had a bit of trouble fighting her

Kai: She had feasted on a lot of people's energies, almost the whole county, and a certain someone hadn't rested for a while

He looked at Akira pointedly, who ignored him. He smiled then continued: And we both haven't recharged in a long time, especially Akira
