Kai and Akira exchanged glances, a crow, why did that sound familiar

Thousands of years ago, they had heard of a massive crow who controlled the wind. He was ruthless, thought nothing of destroying those who did not obey, man and beast alike.. But his name, Akira thought it had been Kodamatsu, not Matsuda, regardless, he had disappeared when she was but a fledgling, some said he was sealed away by priests, could it be one and the same? That the great master of wind had returned?

Kai looked at the young humans, they appeared lost in thought, could they have reached the same conclusion?

Kai: Nagisa, do you know anything about this?

Nagisa seemed hesitant, but she spoke: Thousands of years ago, a few priests had managed to seal a huge crow beast, he had been a menace to all of Japan, a lot of the priests died through the ceremony. There was a prophecy, that he'd break free and an unlikely group was going to stop him, but I don't know how or when. It was a story told to us by the old priests but never in so many details.. I was thinking it could be the same beast. What do you think?

Tokagawa: I think I've heard something of the sort, but I'm not so sure..

Kai: I was thinking the same, and I think Akira was doing so as well

Akira nodded

Ken: Well, if you guys will excuse me, I should be on my way. It was nice knowing you Kai, nice meeting you human prince and priestess, and as for you, you lovely creature, such a shame
He shook his head, Akira gave him a withering glare. He flinched slightly then chuckled: So fiesty.. Well, fare well..

He bowed slightly, transformed in a whirl of blue flames, and ran faster than the wind

Nagisa wrinkled her nose, Kai smiled, Ken was never one to mince words, he was actually being a bit nicer than usual

Kai: He is kind of right though, if it is the one from thousands of years ago, he is very strong. Are you two prepared to put your lives on the line, and alone?

Both Tokagawa and Nagisa nodded

Akira: It would be best to move fast, we have no idea how long he'd been free, if it is in fact the same guy, creatures like us, are sometimes weakened after being sealed for so long, the longer we wait, the more strength he'd recover, and unlike me, he doesn't need a certain habitat to recover, the wind is all he needs, but I suspect he'd been using souls as well, humans and spirits..

Kai interjected: We shouldn't go unprepared..

Akira: You are right, we should both recharge, and get as much information as possible about this prophecy you talked about
She turned towards Nagisa, who nodded at her

Kai: Maybe we should see if we can get some of the high priests to join our quests

Akira almost snorted but stopped herself, she knew none of them would be willing to help, if it was indeed the same crow they we're going to face. Humans these days, were rarely good and brave, sacrificing themselves for the greater good, like these two. Her heart clenched, Tokagawa would be in grave danger, what will she do if anything happens to him, how would she tell lady Maron. No, nothing will cause him harm, she would make sure of it. She would rather die, protecting him, as for his priestess, Kai, she was sure, would do the same for her

With that, they all agreed to journey back, and inquire as much as they could about the prophecy

And on they went
