Chapter 5: The Brit
Via's POV
"And you have just witnessed cheer squad care of Ms. Mercedez and Cheer Captain, Victoria Stellar. Once again, let's give them an applause and warmly welcome our British exchange students." The announcer said, causing a significant screaming and cheering from the student audience.
Irrational!
What's with them and their cheering? It's not worth it. You're screaming over a bunch of people, and it doesn't really matter that they came from a place being ruled by a Queen, or how cute their accent is. The last time I checked, we were all considered humans, equally.
I made my way out of the auditorium because I couldn't take it anymore.
Where the heck is Mackenzie? or Lance? or even one of my idiot brothers? Where are the people I can talk to when I need them?
Don't tell me they're also in there drooling over the Brits.
I just kept walking towards the cafeteria. I was still in my cheer uniform with the name of my school in the front, and the words 'Cheer Captain' in bold letters at the back.
Yes, I'm that proud.
I was walking straight when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.
Tall blondie, I mean Laura, stood there, also in her cheer uniform. I smiled at her innocently and probed, "Yeah?"
"Nothing, I was just asking when's the party?" she said followed by chewing her gum.
"What party?"
"Right. You know, you got the title of cheer captain. Isn't it an honor? Aren't you gonna throw some sort of party?" She raised her brow, causing me to get intrigued.
'Confidence, Via!'
"Yes, and as a matter of fact, it's this Friday. See you there." I smiled at her and turned my back, but truth is I have no plans yet.
Ah, crap. What've I gotten myself into?
I shook the thought off temporarily, and I proceeded to the cafeteria.
"One strawberry shake please." I ordered from the counter, and then I took my seat drinking some of my shake.
*Brain Freeze*
The cafeteria was jam packed at the moment, so alas! My quest for Mackenzie, Lance or my twin brothers is a failure.
"This seat taken?" Someone asked making me turn up to that voice of his. He had a British accent so I'm sure he was an exchange student.
I looked up and saw a blue-grey eyed guy, hair tousled in a perfect way. He had brown curls and his smile exposed his deep dimple at his right.
"Not really. You can take it." And he gave me a thankful smile, and sat beside me.
There were looks from different people in the cafeteria. Looks of envy, jealousy, but some were looks of malice.
These guys are crazy! Don't they knowI'm dating someone? I'm not that disloyal to cheat on Lance.
"So, Tori..." The British exchange student smirked at me, and I couldn't help but laugh.
I probably look like a retard right now, because I'm laughing so hardly.
"What? Whoever told you my name's Tori?" I continued to laugh and he looked puzzled as heck, but as if my laugh was contagious, he just chuckled along.
