Chapter 14: Proper(-ish) Introductions

 

Via's POV

 

"All set?" Anne asked, throwing her black hair into a high ponytail.

"Totally." I replied adjusting to the feel of my glasses. Cameron and Princess just nodded.

"Okay, let's get going." And then she took the lead by opening the door, and to our utter surprise, Zack stood there, looking like a corpse.

But instead of mentioning something we would want to hear, he turned to me and asked, "Who are you?" with furrowed brows.

'No sh*t on the glasses, Sherlock!'

"Look closer." Cameron told him, smirking. Why couldn't he tell by the red hair?

"What the hell? Via?" Zack looked like he saw himself in the mirror. *Insert diabolic grin here* Hihihihi.

"Surprise?" I said, which came out more as a question, and beamed gracelessly.

"Bloody murder, Zack! What happened to you?" Anne suddenly shrieked, as she stepped in front of me, waving her hands in front of Zack. That caught me, and the rest of the guys off topic.

"I worked all night doing the chemistry project because my lab partner backed out on me on late notice." I disregarded whatever ranting and reprimanding that Anne was busy doing because of one sharp thought that crossed my mind.

Mackenzie.

So, after indulging in deep thought about Mackenzie, I realized Anne wasn't done ranting and scolding Zack, who seemed uninterested in any of her lectures.

"Can you please spare me the ranting and let me get dressed already? Christ! Anne, you sound like a broken record." Zack broke out, scratching his head.

"Well, I would spare you the ranting, but unfortunately, you should've spared me the reason to do it." She retorted.

Ahh, so this is what Anne looks like when she's mad, and Zack when he's pissed. Then Princess is like agreeing and justifying everything Anne's saying.

Interesting.

"Hey, hey, hey, guys! Guys!" Cameron roared, and there was a distinct moment of silence.

Silence, silence and even more silence.

"Do you plan on ranting for God knows how long? Or would you rather tone the f*ck down so we could all get to school?!" Cameron shouted at Anne, Princess and Zack. This was the first time I watched him go on rage mode, so I was sure my jaw hung wide enough to catch flies by now.

'Close your mouth, Via'

Achievement: For the record, that's Cameron's third side unlocked- His rage side.

"Dude, calm down." Zack told him, making his features soften a bit. Still, judging by the gnashed fists and jaw, he was still losing his cool just like that.

And that's when I noticed he had one of his hands in his pocket again.

'He's acting weird again.'

"Just get dressed. I'll be waiting for you in the receiving area." Then he brushed past the three.

"I'll go with you." I called out, before catching up with Cameron. He waited for me to get out of the room, then he abruptly slammed shut the door.
