I went to the Japan Festival with AshtheAmazingMerlin today. It was great. I got a pair of dangly orange earing along with two boxes of Pocky(which I've already eaten).
It was so fun! There were cosplayers (we saw Inuyasha, Seshomaru, Grell, Kageyama, Ciel, Sebastian, Hinata(the one from the sports anime), etc) and anime fans and a bunch of Japanese people who were speaking in Japanese and were super polite and everything.
And. AND there was this big drum performance, and being a percussionist myself I was absolutely delighted!
And goodness gracious guys, Pocky is my new favorite treat.
Ooh, they had karate demonstrations and other martial arts things and all these displays, too! There was that game where the fish are in water and you try to grab them with the net things that break easily. I didn't try it since I have no need of fish, but it looked so fun!
A bunch of ladies were wearing kimonos and stuff and tons of people were anime people and it was EPIC! I even ran into several of my friends from school there!
I definitely want to go next year, too!
