Chapter Five: Meeting his Mom

"Stay with me... please?" He pleaded. There was something in his eyes that says he needs someone to talk to.

Umupo siya mula sa kaniyang pagkakahiga.

I don't know what has gotten in me that instead of walking away, I nodded my head and sat at the chair beside him.

"Thanks," he said as he smiled. The smile that made my stomach feel something weird.

"Napalakas siguro 'yung tama sa ulo mo no?" I asked while throwing him suspicious looks.

He chuckled.

"Hmm? Bakit naman?" He asked, the smile is still plastered on his face.

Napa-sign of the cross ako.

Letche talaga 'to.

"Anong pinagsasabi mo diyang babae ka? You really are crazy," he snorted.

I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, D-girl," he called out.

"D-girl?" Tanong ko.

His signatured lopsided grin was back. "Short for D-cup girl,"

"Bastos!" Sasampalin ko na sana siya when he catches my hand mid-air; he swiftly plants a kiss on my lips.

He didn't move his lips (though I was anticipating for it), we just stayed like that for god-knows-how-many-seconds, until we heard someone cleared her throat.

I abruptly moved away from him and turned around to see who's the other person inside the room with us.

A woman who must be in his early 40's stand before us. She looks elegant and composed, she looked surprised after seeing Bullet and I in a such 'intimate' (Eew!) scene, but she immediately smiled at us.

"God, Bullet, what happened to you? Are you okay?" She asked worried.

"Nothin, I was just ganged up by a group of six person, had some minor head injury, broke my left arm; nevertheless, I'm okay Mom, I'm great!" Bullet answered with overflowing sarcasm.

"Mom, is that the proper way to say 'I miss you so much, son,'?" He whined.

“I assume that this lovely girl with us is your girlfriend, am I right, Bullet?” tanong ni Mrs. Guerrero sa anak niya habang nakatingin sa akin. Her smile is so heart-warming, ‘yung parang mga ngiti ni Bullet at such a rare time.

I smiled back at her. I was about to say something when Bullet spoke.

“There is no lovely girl besides you here, mom,”

Her mom thwacked his good arm. “I already know that, and why are you saying such things to your girlfriend?” she said, she turned her direction towards me, “I’m sorry my dear, I know that Bullet is such a pain in the ass. May I know your name?”

“I’m Hansel Emerald Joaquin, Mrs. Guerrero,” I politely said and flashed her one of my gummy smiles.

“There’s no need for such formalities, just call me Tita Charlene, but I would really love it when you prefer calling me Mom,”

“I’ll just call you Tita Charlene na lang po,”

“Okay, if you say so,” she said and pouted.

We spend the hours talking about different stuffs; we also teased and mocked Bullet. Kinuwento ni Tita Charlene ‘yung different childhood experiences ni Bullet, and from what I imagined; ang cute and fluffy ni Bullet! Sana hindi na siya lumaki!

I didn’t expect na ganito pala ka warm and friendly ni Tita Charlene, from the way she looks kasi, mukha siyang suplada at mataray. Pero, mabait siya, as in super!

“Oh, look at the time, I have to go. Office works are waiting,” she groaned as she glanced up at her expensive time piece.

She kissed Bullet’s forehead. “I’ll be back tomorrow when you’re discharged, you’ll stay at our house, got it?”

“Yeah,” he said flatly. Why do I have this feeling na ayaw ni Bullet sa bahay nila?

Tita Charlene bid her farewell to me. “It’s nice to meet you, Hansel, I’ll see you soon. Okay?” she said as she hugged me.

I hug her back. “It’s nice meeting you too, Tita Charlene,”

“And, oh, if you’re planning to continue what you were doing a while ago, could you guys wait until Bullet is discharged. But it’s better if you’re going to do it after your marriage; I’m not really fond of pre-marital sex,”

“Mom!” Bullet exclaimed.

I can feel that my face is now burning red. Nakakahiya! Baka isipin ni Tita na I’m an easy girl!

She giggled before she totally leaves the room.

Awkward…

“Sorry, I know that my mom’s weird,” paninimula ni Bullet.

“Yeah, right,” he snorted.

Baka mamaya may dumi pala ako mukha, muta or something! He bit his lower lip in a very seductive manner. He leaned forward, minimizing the spaces between our face, his gaze fell on my lower lip.

“Shall we continue on what we started?” he asked in a husky voice.

*****

Oh my gee! Magkaka-BS ba ako?! Pano ‘yan, injured si Bullet, how can he manage?! Hahahahaha!
