I sighed to myself and started humming along to the music blaring from my headphones and travelling into my eardrums. I took out my key from my right jean pocket and forced it into the jagged shaped hole, giving it a strong twist so the door could freely open up and let me into my home.
I stepped through my front door and tossed my school bag onto the kitchen counter, I then headed to the fridge and opened it widely, staring at it's contents for a while before closing the fridge and heading to the cupboards above the counters. No such luck in there either. With a sigh, I returned to the fridge and pulled out a can of red bull and a muffin that my mum had gotten me a few days ago, I had obviously forgotten it was even there and so she had obviously put it in the fridge to preserve it even longer.

I slowly pace up the stairs and turn into my bedroom, falling onto my bed and exhaling peacefully as I take in my surroundings and my sudden comfort from my mattress. I was relieved to be home alone for the time being as I hated my mothers constant questioning of how my day was and what I learned at school that day. Nine times out of ten my day was average and I learnt little to nothing and so having to repeat myself five times a week seemed tedious.
After a while of relaxation to myself, I took my phone out of my pocket and removed my headphones, shutting off the music as I did so. I then checked my notifications on my social media and refreshed myself with the online world. After a couple minutes of endless scrolling, I exited the app I was using and opened up my emails. As I scrolled through them endlessly, a certain one caught my eye and I raised my eyebrow in curiosity as I opened it up.

I brought my hand to my mouth in shock and my eyes widened. I had actually won this contest? A contest I entered for a laugh and I had actually managed to win?
I was ecstatic. I was going to be going to Warped and I would get to see my favourite bands and it was all happening on the last day of school too! What a perfect way to end the school year!

Eeeeek! I'm sorry this is so short but to make it up to you I will be sure to write the next chapter by the end of this week! I'm very excited for this story to get  started! Love you all! - Sarah!💕
