Morning came round stupidly fast. As I woke up alone in my room of Josh's apartment, I stretched my arms up and slowly climbed out of bed. I grabbed my suitcase from under my bed and began to pack it with everything I had brought over from my home town. I didn't realise how much I had packed, clearly I believed I would be staying here a lot longer than I thought. I frowned to myself and wiped away a stray tear as I finished hauling the last few items into my case before zipping and locking it shut.
I looked around the room, taking in the final surroundings. The smell, the sounds, the sights. I glanced over to my bedside table. A strip of photo booth pictures sat on top, leaning upright against my lamp. The pictures consisted of Josh, Tyler and I. All of us pulling funny faces and laughing. We were all so happy, but now? We were a mess.
I thought back to last night. Josh and Tyler fought. They had a physical fight and I caused it. I caused two best friends to fall out, it was all because of me.

I shook my head clear of my thoughts and grabbed my suitcase, hauling it out of my room and quietly shutting the door behind me so I didn't wake Josh.
As I crept towards the door of the apartment, I heard footsteps behind me.
"You're really going?"
I sighed as I gripped the handle hard and winced at Josh's words.
I just nodded.
I heard him swallow hard and sniffle slightly. I turned around to see him wiping a couple of tears away from his eyes.
"Josh, I-" I cleared my through, "you've been so wonderful to me. You've taken me in, helped me to feel better, you've shown me what it's like to be happy again. And all I could repay you with is causing your best friend to turn against you. I'm so sorry for everything." I had to stop myself from talking anymore before I broke down.
"Amanda don't be silly. You know you're amazing. And if Tyler can't see that then he isn't worth it. I just hope you take care of yourself. I'm always a phone call away."
I sobbed as I ran to Josh and pulled him into a tight hug.
"I'll miss you." I sighed.
"Go, you have a flight to catch." He encouraged.
I nodded at him as I grabbed hold of my case once more and opened the door.
"Take care, Josh."
And with that I closed the door behind me and headed down the hall, out of the apartment and on my way to the airport.

Josh's P.O.V

As soon as Amanda left the apartment, I quickly took out my phone from my pocket and dialled Tyler's number.
"Tyler. She's gone. If you're gonna do what we discussed, it has to be now. You have about 4 hours til she takes off."
I nodded at his response through the phone, "okay. I'll get everything sorted don't you worry. Just get down there. Bye."
I hung up the phone and then began to dial another, I just prayed that this plan would work.

Amanda's P.O.V

As I reached the airport and finally got through security, I was all checked in and ready to go. I had a couple hours to kill before my flight was due to board and so I headed to a nearby bar to drown my sorrows and maybe grab a bite to eat. I was a nervous flyer too so the grub and alcohol would definitely help.

I pulled up a stool at the bar and studied a menu which was sat beside me.
"Can I help ya miss?" A friendly server at the bar spoke to me. I looked up at him from the menu and smiled weakly. "Yeah actually, could I get a glass of red wine and maybe a big side of fries?" I half chuckled at my own order.
"Something troubling ya?" He asked as he began to prepare my drink.
"You have no idea." I stated. He simply nodded and passed my drink over, I handed him the cash and he smiled. "You're fries should be out in a few minutes."
A few moments later, the news came on on the bars TV, I studied the screen but then sighed rather loudly as Tyler's face appeared on the screen.
"Twenty One Pilots singer, Tyler Joseph, has been spotted getting into a blacked out car this morning. Sources say he may be heading back out to the studio to make more music with his band mate Joshua Dun in preparation for their new album."
The server appeared in front of me again, handing over my fries, I was too busy looking at the TV and rolling my eyes to notice him.
"Is that who's troubling ya?" He nodded at the TV.
I lowered my head and slowly nodded in response, "we had a thing but that's history now."
The server frowned and passed me a refill of my wine glass.
"On the house." He spoke.
"No, no it's fine really I-"
"I insist." He stated. "Really."
I smiled at him as I took a sip from the glass.

"Thank you."
