chapter 23-confession

"Are you sure I cant get you anything,ma'm?". The waiter asked.

The waiter had run over to our table when I started choking. Apparently I looked like I was going to faint.

"No,I'm fine. Thank you"

The waiter walked away and I couldn't bring myself to look at Jamie. I felt embarrassed. Not because he asked me to be his girlfriend but because I was now covered in water.

I hope I didn't make him feel bad.

"Sorry" Jamie broke the silence.

I was about to tell him he had nothing to be sorry for when we were interrupted by a friend of Jamie's.

"Jamie,man. Where ya been?"

As they kept their conversation going I couldn't help notice I wreakonised Jamie's friend from somewhere.I probably could have placed him some where if I had been introduced,but I hadn't.

"Ill be right back" I told Jamie,who didnt hear me because he was listening to his friend.

I got up and walked in and out of the tables to the bathroom. I locked myself in a cubicle and slid to the floor.

What to do? What to do?

I decided on ringing Becky to try calm my myself down but she only made me feel worse.

I like Jamie but I don't know weather I like him enough to be his girlfriend?

I got up,dusted off and walked back out to the table.

Jamie's friend was sitting in my seat. When I started walking back over towards them his friend stood up,walked around the table and whispered something Jamie's ear,then walked off.

"Everything okay?" I asked sitting down.

"Sure" he said with little to no emotion on his face. I didn't like how cold his eyes where while he looked at me nor did I like the fact I couldn't figure out where I saw his expression before.

"We should get going" he said standing up.

"But we haven't eaten yet?"

"Yeah" he continued giving me the silent treatment all the way to the car.

"You going back to where I picked you up?"

"Sure am" I smiled slightly which only made him seem angrier with me.

We drove in silence. Ever get when your in trouble and your afraid to move or talk? Yeah that's how I feel now.

When we pulled up outside the house I took my seat belt off and looked at Jamie.

"Jamie?"

"hmm" great he isn't even saying words anymore.

Before I could stop myself I said "I'd love to be your girlfriend"

He looked at me clearly surprised.

"Really?"

"Yeah" he took off his own seat belt and pulled me towards him for a kiss.

The kiss lasted for about 0.2345  seconds and I didn't get all tingly like I did with Justin.

I smiled at him and got out of the car. I walked up the garden and looked back at the car that was beginning to drive away.

"See you tomorrow,Or something,Girlfriend" It didn't sound right. Being Jamie's girlfriend didn't sound right at all.

I opened the hall door,plastering a fake smile on my face so I could at least pretend to be happy in front of everyone.
