Makarov's POV

I'm sorry, Lucy. I have to tell them, the guild has fallen under such depression and sorrow, everyone needs to know of the truth...

"attention brats! everybody gather round! I have important news! I think that after 1 year without Lucy being around is the appropriate time to say this: There was a reason that Lucy left, which, she asked me to keep under lock and key but I can't stand to see everybody so miserable anymore! So, without further or do, here it goes... one year ago, Lucy set out on a long journey in order to become a stronger individual, to train herself both physically and emotionally; internal and external. Need not to worry as she will be back and I trust that she will be back stronger than ever! Till then, let's have hope in our comrade... Lucy Heartfilia!!!"

Every guild member shouted in happiness and respectfully held up their index finger and thumb.

Lucy's POV

It's been 1 whole year... I've learnt so much in what seems such little time. I managed to face scorching hot temperatures whilst spending long periods of time in pools full of lava in Igneel's castle, along with learning fire dragon slayer magic (plus dragon force which only I acquired). Iron dragon slayer magic was one of the 'easier-but-still-really-annoying-to-learn' magic types. Having to eat metal 24/7 to boost up my power was not really the first thing on my to do list... As for Wendy's magic, I learnt the extra magic that Grandeeney never got to teach Wendy and I mastered all the basics as well. Light magic was a magic that I just managed to grasp after 4 whole months... It was totally worth it, I have to say, generating lightning wasn't all that boring! I now currently only need to obtain one final magic: shadow dragon slayer magic.

-Time skip 6 months-

(Still Lucy's POV)

The most hardest and longest element to conquer; shadow slaying magic... It would take me yet another 6 months to fully complete my training!!! I literally just started learning all the complex spells, fun! (Note the sarcasm...)

"Shadows that lurk beneath,

Rise again to my voice of sorrow,

Thy light shall not torment,

May my words guide you,

All bad spirits nor dark nor light shall... Shall"

Seriously?!? That's the 3rd time that I've screwed up this spell now!

Once more...

I repeated the spell and to my relief, I finally got it right!!!!!

A dark aura surrounded me and I merged within the shadows; unseen. "yes! I did it!!! finally!"

No-one's POV

It's been exactly 2 years ever since Lucy left Fiore on her quest to gain more power and to not 'rely on her friends and spirits all of time'. Back in Fiore, the Fairy Tail guild and putting together a welcome back party for Lucy! Lucy will sure be delighted when she sees such a wonderful sight!!!

Lucy's POV

'Today is the day!' I though to myself. I slipped on some red flats along with a puffy red dress that just managed to fit under my black, mysterious cape. I bid my last farewells to the 5 dragons and of course, added their let's to my wonderful collection! I still needed to train with Celestia, but that can wait until I settle in back at home...
