Lucy's POV

Though I had made an effort to suppress my tiredness, I groggily rubbed the sleep away from my eyes and rolled on my side. Before long, I ended up opening my eyes and seeing a sight indeed for sore eyes. A bare-chested Natsu Dragneel was laying right beside me and without a second to spare, I fell straight off the side of the bed to then land on my back on the floor with my legs still bent other the bed. That's when I noticed the room. With a modern theme, it presented whites and blues gracefully. Corresponding colours and furniture worked together to make something that was very different to what my room was like. I got up onto my two feet and didn't even begin to question where I had ended up before I walked out of the front door - after I had eventually found it and then proceeded to go to the guild, I had just woken up in this house and I was sure that I wasn't just half asleep this time. It seemed as if I was currently living with Natsu but I don't remember even being with him relationship wise. There must be a valid explanation for this nonsense, I shall just get to the guild for answers and maybe they know why I woke up in a random house with Natsu.

To my certain surprise, the guild wasn't far from this house and in a matter of minutes, I was already in front of the guild and walked in to see the usual set up of my guild mates all drinking and most fighting. Nothing out the ordinary there, maybe it is just me I thought to myself.

Walking to Mira, I sat down at the bar and she welcomed me with her normal greeting and smile that could warm up anyone's day and my day certainly needed warming up after the much confusion in having. "Mira", I started, "am I with Natsu?" I asked, furrowing my eyes brows in a questioning manner.

"Whatever do you mean Lucy?" Mirajane laughed her perfect, bubbly laugh

I couldn't help but laugh in response, "what I mean is, am I married to Dragneel?" I once again asked

Laughing once again, the white haired girl nodded her head before looking at me intently, "are you feeling okay today Lucy?" She asked, her voice spiked with worry. I smiled at her and motioned that I was fine, just before I could ask her about my morning, the person I'd least expect to turn up did and that person was my Father. Mentally preparing myself to tell him to go, I rose from my seat but that was before I noticed my mother stood next to him...

- - -
I couldn't move a muscle, I was stood there and unable to move an inch of my body as I saw my dead mother look not so dead in front of my very own eyes.

That's when I realised it... When I realised the whole thing was just an illusion that was created for me as a decoy. The only weakness to illusion magic is the sense of awareness and as soon as I knew it was a lie, the guild shook and blurred until my eyes blinked back open in a matter of seconds. Reality came back to me as I saw a pitch black sky, so beautiful with its twinkling white stars and crescent moon. Unfortunately, the image of Zeref had ruined it after I sat up and saw the man.

I was back at square one...

I never really escaped...

My eyes were drawn to my arm, the markings still stained the surface as my teardrops blurred the tribal like tattoo, tears streamed down my face as I screamed out in agony. The dark magic wizard gazed at me with pity as he kicked my almost lifeless body, in an attempt to try and help me, Loke had used his own magic energy to come to my rescue and took the hits for me.

"Let her be! I won't let you come near her!" The lion spirit shouted in a last attempt to save me, needless to say it didn't work after Zeref made him fade away with ease by using one of his forbidden magic spells. At this point, I was lying on the floor just like last time, slowly wasting away.

No...

"This isn't how it will end!!" I exclaimed, my fringe shading over my face as I slowly rose up from the ground. I wasn't necessarily sure where the sudden power had come from but what I did know was that Zeref was going down if it was the last thing I did.
