Lucy's POV

Where... Where am I? My words echoed throughout my head as I walked around the golden meadows.

How could one place look so familiar yet so unfamiliar at the same exact time?

Suddenly, a voice called out to me. "Lucy Dear, I have bad news..." The voice said, words tinted with worry and sadness.

I turned to see her... Celest... The only dragon I never got to meet.

"But first, let me introduce myself" The dragon inched closer, "I am celest, past dragon of your Mother and now the dragon of you, Lucy dearest. I am the one ruler of all stars, the celestial king is merely my replacement for not being able to rule due to my responsibilities in the dragon castle."

I stood there in astonishment. Is this a dream? Reality?

The dragon lowered her head and continued her speech:

"However, a dark power is consuming the world, covering it in black. Zeref has caused this and It's your job to defeat him! To do this you MUST use the power sealed in your arm... Use the demon E.N.D Lucy! It's the only way!"

Tear started to stream down my face and before I knew it, my eyes shot open along with my body before I took in the features of my room. The bland walls that I have gotten used to these past couple days, the crooked desk along with a lamp that illuminates the room in an orange shade of yellow, the smashed light blub that draws the attention to that exact lamp, the way the chair looks polished from a distance but the further you go towards it, the more it looks faded and worn and finally the wardrobe; full of my clothes of course.

My heart rate calmed down and I looked at the old bandages covering my arm. Steadily, I unwrapped then to reveal exotic marks that laced off in all directions. My fingers traced over the marks and I wondered how they could be so beautiful but also deadly when used. I guess my Mother was right with her words...

'demons can be beautiful creatures but with beauty comes pain and that pain is what causes chaos and mayhem among our people'

Not every child got a lullaby to send them to sleep, my Mother was truthful and told not one lie. I knew from a young age that not everything in life is all happy and jolly, if that was the case... Why would we all die in the end? Why?

The door being opened snapped me out of my thoughts. It was Erza. She walked in, saw the mark on my arm and then looked as if she was about to say something, quickly changing her mind and exiting was her last decision.

I gently wrapped my arm up again, this time with new bandages. I placed a sealing spell on the bandage just in case. I'ts always better to stay safe then sorry later...

Then, I proceeded outside.

The view from the passing windows was quite the delight. I missed the old times when you could just sit down on a hill, the front row seat for any sunset screening of the world's very own nature cinema, and take in the sights.

I miss those days.

My inside thoughts had caused me to subconsciously walk outside. I simply shrugged and kept on walking to wherever my legs would take me
