⭐Chapter 16⭐

Natsu's POV

"Wow since when did Zeref become so..." I stared up at the massive castle like building in pure astonishment, "rich!" I shouted before being harshly shushed by Happy to say 'we're kind of in a powerful evil wizards lair right now, please be quiet and try not to blow our cover. "Yeah, thanks Natsu".

Me and Happy flew up to a balcony and landed swiftly. A large set of transparent doors stood In front of us and I placed my hand on the handle for it to suddenly open up! Me and Happy were squished behind the door as someone appeared to walk out. I peered around to the corner to see...

N-no...

It couldn't be!

Her blonde hair shone brightly in my view and I was astonished;

"I'm naming you goldie!" I exclaimed at the adorable golden retriever, Happy was dumbfounded and gave a glare. Followed by a sigh, we continued forward into the dim room and crept along, extremely cautious of what we were doing. 

Before we reached the end of the excessively dark room, we heard footsteps approach the door and in a instant we rushed underneath what we presumed was a bed. 

Lucy's POV

After finishing up some cleaning downstairs it was finally my curfew. I reached for the door handle to hear mysterious sounds... Almost like mumbled voices. 

I prepared myself and took a deep breath, I steadied my heart beat and walked through the door. The room was barely recognisable in the darkness but with a quick flick of the switch the room was illuminated with hints of a colourful tint as the clear glass chandelier reflected and cast light on the pitch black shade. 

Then, as I looked around my room i just happened to look under my bed to see...I spotted a head of pink hair... 

My heart dropped... It couldn't be- could it?!

"Natsu! Happy! It's you!" I crouched to their level and they were left dumbstruck. In a split second they were up on their feet and suffocating me with hugs. Just like when I came back to the guild. Then, I heard shouting from behind my door, I mouthed "hide" to the two and they hid yet again under the bed which seemed to had worked till I had spotted them earlier, bare in mind I have heightened senses being so powerful. 

I was about to open the door when Zeref suddenly walked in and made me step back as he barged inside. I stood there in fear as he began to search the room. When he reached the bed I braced myself but then, there were no voices or shouting, no magic or dispute. Then, he walked over to me. 

"How dare you fool me! Summoning your magic key friends and make me think that my daughter is in trouble!" he brought his hand up and behind him I could see the same pink headed idiot. His eyes where shaded over and I gasped. I closed my eyes and braced myself for what was to come but when i opened them Zeref was still stood there but Natsu had gone. Zeref finally brought his hand and slapped me across the face. My face stung but he left before tears pricked my eyes. I looked up to see happy containing Natsu in his hands whilst he struggled to carry him as he was heating up in flames. He was that angry you could feel the anger emitting off him. 

Happy steadily took him down to the ground again and he leaped over to me and held me in his arms way too tight. I gave him a painful glace and he imminently let go and apologised. 

"We need to go" I stated.

"now?"natsu and happy questioned.

"Yes. Right now as far away as possible before he gets back"

And yet again, I fell limp and my vision was blurred until it turned black...

A/N:

Hey guys! I said i would update on Thursday! And i'm sorry for not updating yesterday, I had a very bad day as i had my injections and i got locked out of my house and had to ring my family up but my phone died so I had to go to my friends house to charge it then use my friends phone to call my mum and say i didn't bring my key cause my phone ran out of credit and i had to go to my grandmas house till i got picked up about 100 hours later. But on the bright side I didn't cry because of the injection and its children in need tomorrow so I get to wear everyday clothes. Yayyyy. Anyways, thank you very much for reading and i shall now go undated another book
