⭐️Chapter 20⭐️

Lucy's POV

With such strength, END caught me in his arms and I struggled out of his grasp. Yet, unbeknown to me he was defending me from the attacks Zeref was casting. I started to loose hope in being able to defeat my own Father... If he actually was that anyway.

I wiped the tear that swelled in my vision and began to take into account the whole situation at hand. Zeref was stronger than me due to my power failing and causing Natsu to turn into the demon E.N.D. "Wait, can he even turn back? Oh god what have I done?!" I asked myself, talking to nobody. My emotions got the better of me and a tear threatened to fall from my eye as I lowered my head, attempting to block out everything. Especially block out the blank slate hidden behind E.N.D's menacing grin.

Then I felt someone tilt my chin up, "you don't look as pretty when you cry" Etherious Natsu stated and still had that frightening smile on his face, flashing all his sharp teeth. I kept silent before pushing away from him.

"Are you scared?" He questioned, had he lost himself completely?

The demon started backing away from me and joining Zeref. I was by myself now and competing against my "Father" and the person I loved.

I transformed into my Aquarius star dress and attempted to do at least some damage. Even after what felt like days anything I did didn't seem to be working. With every graze I got, Zeref was closer to killing me with his black arts powers and I didn't want to die yet. I heard the two commute in the distance, "finish her off Natsu" with such coldness, my Father had asked of him. I felt myself give in as I dropped onto my knees. E.N.D still had the same menacing look from before as he (surprisingly) caressed my face and Zeref had walked away into the bitterness of the afternoon.

The demon came down to my level and pressed his lips onto mine. Using the little strength I had, I Pushed Natsu (or the demon shall I say) onto his back and straddled him and I called the verses in order to banish the demon. I had so much hope that it would work as the markings moved down my arm and leaked onto the demon. I felt my body slip away as soon as the demon fought back, yet my grip was so tight onto his I couldn't let go.

Did I win? I wasn't too sure as I still had consciousnesses but I couldn't see anything in my eye. Everything had a dark filter over. I rushed off from the top of the now normal looking Natsu and found a convenient puddle as I struggled to get up. Looking into it, a consuming black had taken over the once brown colour in my eye. In return for disposing of E.N.D's power using my arm, the power had become apparent in myself. Just like the infinity tower...

"Lucy!" A voice called.

I was too weak to even turn and discover to which the voice belonged to but it came apparent as soon as I heard the deepness of gray's voice, the bravery in Erza's, the high pitch in Mira's voice and so on. I couldn't move from the ground as my power was consumed completely and the injuries I had gained due to Zeref still bound me to the floor.

The stitches that held me to the ground came loose and I felt fragile yet lightweight as someone carried me gently, I twisted my head to see Natsu who was no longer E.N.D.

One thing I did notice was the same black covered eye as me but in the opposite eye...

Everything stopped making sense after the loud sound in the background which I later discovered was my Father after the guild had came after him.

~ A month after the battle ~

"So the colour in both their eyes had summoned the true E.N.D who was actually The black arts dragon. He trained Zeref. Zeref was actually the brother of Natsu, thus making you the actual daughter of Jude and Layla"

I sighed in relief after Levy's statement. Many things had changed after the battle but one thing that hadn't changed was me.

Natsu came up behind me and held me tightly around my waist, he lifted me up eve after me yelling at him to be put down but we both laughed in response. I smiled at the salmon haired boy and I couldn't wait for our next adventure.

Really bad, I'm aware but I needed to publish something after keeping you guys waiting so long. This chapter is very rushed and I can't figure out what to write next so I'll be on a hiatus for this book only, only for a little bit tho.
