Daughter of a Myth

Chapter 9

When we left to go to dinner Chiron told me by as Percy was about to lead to me the pavilion but they all stopped and stared at me.  Percy even gasped.  I asked what they were looking at but none of them  answered me.  Thinking it was something on my face I rubbed my face.  I then realized that they weren't looking at me but something above my head. 

I looked  above me to see a big glowing symbol.  They was a symbol of a lightning bolt.  I got scared and tried to move so that it would go away but it just followed me.  I quite trying to move and then it vanished.  I turned to Chiron who was still staring. 

"What was that?" I asked

"That was you getting claimed" he said

"By who exactly" I asked already knowing the answer.

"By Zeus, god of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods." he said.  Both of them bowed down to me.  I felt very uncomfortable with this.  When Percy stood up he dragged me to the pavilion were everyone was already gathering.

When we got to the pavilion everyone was eating.  Percy asked if I wanted to introduced today or tomorrow morning.  I told him tomorrow.  He helped me get food because I was so confused about what was going on.  When I got food Percy lead me to my cabin.  The outside of the cabin was magnificent.  Before I could continue to admire the outside anymore Percy basically dragged me inside.  Inside was so pretty there were bunk beds even though there have to be barley any Zeus kids.  There was a big statue of Zeus in the back and center of the cabin. 

"Wow this is" I began to say but Percy cut me off.

"Amazing" he finished

"Yes" I said

After Percy had final left I grabbed my backpack which was full of my stuff.  I put it under my bed after grabbing my pajamas and then changed into them.  Once I got them on I went to my bed and grabbed one of the books I got.  It is about greek gods and demigods.  I started to read it.

I don't know when but I fell asleep.  When I fell asleep the dream came.  The dream that I have been having since I was child.

~Dream~

I was standing in the middle of a forest.  I started to run around waiting for it to happen.  Millions of monsters came at me.  They all started to attack at once, then the loud voice came.

"Leave her to me and find something else useful to do" it said.

"Who are you" I said

"I'm you wort nightmare" it said.  Coming out of the forest came a big giant.  He carried a bow and he aimed it.  He shot the arrow and hit came at me the arrow hit me directly in the stomach.  As I fell to the ground he stood there laughing.

"Nighty night,  I will see you soon Willow" he said.  As he said that I jolted awake covered in sweat and painting like I ran 8 miles. 

I looked at the clock to see it was only 3 in the morning.  Since I did't want to go back to sleep I got out of bed and went to the bathroom and changed into a work out outfit that I found/stole from the Mary.  Once I was in it I left my cabin and went to the arena to practice.

~Time skip~

It had been a long time of practicing because the horn was blowing.  I ran to my cabin to change out of my sweety work out clothes.  Once I got there and changed I put my knives in my boots then my Bow on my back, and left.  When I could outside someone taped on my shoulder I turned around to once again be face to face with Percy.

"Well hello" I said moving back a little

"Hello are you ready for today" he said

"Sure" I said as he lead me to the dinner pavilion.  There were so many people there.  There were  20 different tables and some of them didn't even have anyone sitting at them.  Percy lead me over to a table that he said was for Zeus and that I was going to have to sit at.  Once I had all my food and I burned some in the fire that Percy said was for an offering I went and sat down. 

Chiron got up and stomped his foot/hove so that everyone would calm down. 

"Hello we have a new camper today." he said gesturing for me to stand.  So I did.

"This is willow she is the daughter of Zeus" he said as murmuring broke out in the pavilion no doubt about me.  I sat back down and eat in silence.  The rest of the breakfast I eat in peace but everyone around me talked.  I could hear some of what they were saying but not a lot.  At one point I heard someone say that I was problem a mistake and Zeus only claimed me because of something Percy did. 

After dinner Percy gave me my schedule and told me that I would be doing that ever day.  He asked what my first class was and I told him.  We had different ones I had Pegasus riding and he had greek myth studying.  I headed to the pegasus stables. 

I arrived at them to find no one there.  Then someone came in.

"Oh hello I'm Kat  daughter of Athena" she said

"Hi I'm Willow daughter of Zeus" I replied

"I know remember Breakfast" she said

"Oh ya well its nice to meet you" I said

"You too, are you ready to learn how to ride a pegasus" she said

"Yes" I said

"Ok well you first need to get a pegasus" she told me

"Do I just chose" I asked  

"No you choose each other" she said.  I began to look at them all.  There were brown and white ones.  Even multi color but I did't like any of them.  I then came up to a black one the had a silver mane. 

"Hello" I said holding out my hand.

"Hi master" it said rubbing its head against my hand.  I started to pet her mane.

"What is her name" I asked Kat

"She doesn't have one because nobody could ever get her to come to them not even Percy" she said

"Well could I" I asked

"It only seams fiting" she said

"Huh, How about I name you Laila" I said

"I love it" Laila said.

"That is a great name" Kat said

"Thanks" I replied

"Well its time to ride" she said.
