Daughter of a Myth

Chapter 21

I woke up feeling sore all over my body. I stayed in my bed thinking about what I had done with Percy at the lake. I looked at my clock to see that it was only 5:30 am. Deciding that I didn't want to try to go back to sleep I got up and heading into the bathroom.

When I got in there I turned on the shower and then stripped down out of my PJ's. After I did that I checked to see if the shower was warm and when it was I hoped into the shower. I let the water run down my body warming me. After a few minutes of just standing in the shower, I washed my hair and body and washed my face with a special face wash. Before getting out I let the water run over my body again just standing in the shower under the water as is made my body warm.

Reluctantly I turned the shower off and climbed out grabbing a towel. I wrapped the towel around me and tucked the end in making it stay up without falling off, and then headed back to my cabin. When I got out there I walked over to the dresser and opened it. I grabbed undies, black leggings, a long red sweater, my willow tree necklace, and black combat boots.

When I had grabbed all of those I headed into the bathroom and made sure my body was dry and then I got dressed. Once I had my clothes on I grabbed a brush and a hair dryer. I started to dry my long hair out. It took a while for my hair to be completely dry but it finally was. I put all the stuff I got out away and then headed out to get some breakfast. Right before I left I grabbed a book and looked at the clock to see that it was now 7:12 am.

When I got to the pavilion there was very little people there, but there was still a few. I went to my table and asked for an apple and milk. I drank the milk and then took the apple and went outside. I got out there and looked for a good tree to climb. When I found one I started to climb it. It was a very tall tree so I climbed it until I found a nice thick and high branch. When I found one I climbed onto it and go comfy and then began eating the apple and reading.

I don't know how long I had been sitting up in the tree but it seemed like a long time. I heard sticks cracking so I looked down to see if there was someone down there. Sure enough, there was someone and it wasn't just anyone. This person had jet black hair and sea green eyes. He was also staring straight at me. Can you guess who it was? If you guessed Percy you are correct. I looked down at him and he motioned for me to come down with him.

I started to climb down but realized it would take a few minutes because of how high I climbed. So instead of climbing down I stepped on the nearest branch and jumped. I fell to the ground and landed on my feet. I stood up and straightened out my clothes.

"Hey Willow," he said

"Hi" I replied

"What were you doing up there?" he asked

"Eating, and reading," I told him

"How did you not get hurt jumping that far?" he asked in disbelief

"I don't know I think because of my mother," I told him

"Oh well please don't do it again," he said sounding worried

"Why are you worried I'm going to get hurt?" I asked

"Yes," he said

"Well I cannot promise I won't," I said

We started off towards the lake again talking as we walked. We had started a habit or tradition of going to the lake every day after breakfast. He let me stop by my cabin to grab my swimsuit and changed into it. I put my clothes into a bag so I could change into them after I was down swimming. After I changed we headed back to the lake and when we got there I ran and dived into the lake. Great my hair is all wet again it took me like half an hour to blow dry it.
