Daughter of a Myth

Chapter 19

I shot out of my bed.  Every since I have gotten back to camp I have been having these dreams.  This time, it was different I found all the campers at the hill and instead of them being dead they all looked at me and said: "You need to remember".  Then I woke up.  I hadn't told any of them yet for fear that if I did then it would come true.  But because of the new one, I decided it was time to tell Chiron.

I went into the bathroom, I took off my shirt and looked at the bandages.  I took them off, my wound was still there and still bleeding.  I grabbed a new bandage and put it on.  Once I had done that I changed into shorts, a shirt with a wolf on it and some sneakers.  Then I headed out to find Chiron.

I headed to the big house and found him sitting on the porch.  When he saw me he stood up and walked over to me. 

"Hello Willow what do you need?" he asked"

"I had the dream again. I have been having it since I got back." I told him

"Oh.  Come inside and we can talk about them some more," he told me

"Okay," I said following him inside.

When we got inside he took me to a room and I sat in one of the chairs that were in there.  Then he asked me to tell him more about the dreams. I started from the first one and told him about them all including the one for last night.  When I finished he told me I should go see the Oral. 

He leads me to the stairs which lead to the attic.  I looked up them but couldn't see anything at the top of them.  I looked back at Chiron, and he just nodded encouragingly.

Taking a deep breath I started up the stairs.  When I got to the top there was only one room.  I walked over to it and opened the door.  The inside of it looked old.  There was stuff all over the place.  Right in front of the door there was the old looking mummy, that gave me my first prophecy.  When I stepped into the room and shut the door the mummy sat up and its eyes turned green.  There was also green smoke that came out of its mouth.

She then spoke.  "What do you wish to know?" she asked

"I would like to know my future," I told her

"One shall go home

only to forget why

then one shall go to save her

they will find her and take her to her real home

Only then can she live" Then she went back to being a mummy.

I headed downstairs and told Chiron.  He told me I should pack up and then go home.  I agreed.  I headed back to my cabin.  Once I got there I started to pack up all of my stuff.  I put my clothes in a bag that one of the Athena had given me.  The bag could never be filled. 

After I finished it I took my daggers and headed to the arena to practice.  It was still early in the morning so I would probably be the only one at the arena.  When I got there I was right.

I found a target and began practicing throwing my daggers.  After about the 15th throw I heard a twig snap behind me.  I closed my eyes and when I did I could make out where the person was behind me.  I gripped my dagger and pictured where I wanted it to go.  Then I threw it behind me.  When I did the person let out a yelp of fright.
