Daughter of a Myth

Chapter 17

  Today is capture the flag. I got up out of bed and headed into the bathroom. I brushed my rat nest hair and my teeth. I changed into some yoga sweatpants, and a bright blue tank tops. When I got my combat boots on I put my daggers in them. I walked out of the room to see everyone already gathering in the pavilion. I headed there as well. At the pavilion, there were tables full of weapons, armor, shields. All the tables are crowded around by people. Someone tapped me on the shoulder I elbowed them in the stomach. When I turned around I saw Percy holding his stomach. 
"Oh my gosh I'm sorry Percy," I said
"Wow, remind me to never sneak up on you again," he said
"Are you Okay?" I asked
"I'll be fine, but guess what?" he said
"What?" I asked very curiously
"We are on the same team for capture the flag," He told me
"Yay," I said very happily
"But I have a question?" he asked
"Uh oh what did I do," I asked
"Why are you out here and not resting," he asked
"Because I'm fine and I want to play this game," I said
"Okay if your fine this shouldn't hurt," he said.
I looked at him confused. He used his finger to poked me in the stomach right where I got shot. Even thought I was out for a month it hasn't healed fully. Pain shot through me. Instinctively my hand went to where he poked me. Even though it hurt I covered it up and acted like it didn't hurt.
"See fine," I said
"Okay fine let's get geared up," he said before walked to the tables.
There was so much stuff on the tables. I found an Iron chain armor and grabbed that. Once I had that on I started to look for Percy. I found him struggling to get his armor on. I walked over to him and helped put on his armor.
After Percy and I got on our armor we grabbed our weapons. Percy with his pen/sword, and me with my bow and daggers. Chiron got up and started to talk about the game.
"Today the teams will be Ares, Poseidon, Zeus, and Apollo cabins they are red. The blue team will be Hephaestus, Athena, Hermes, and Dionysus. Go to your sides and then the game will begin. Good luck campers" he said before everyone went off.
Percy and I headed to the flag to guard it. When we got there I climbed into the nearest tree and got my bow ready. I looked back at Percy. He had his Sword ready and looked like he was eager for this to start.
The horn was blown and you could hear campers yelling and fighting. I could see Percy out of the corner of my eye. He was getting ready for whatever was going to come. I readied myself as well. A few trees over I could see four people coming. I looked at Percy and he looked at me I lifted 4 fingers showing him that there were four people coming.
I got an arrow and nocked it so I could shot the first person that came through the trees. I saw the four campers coming our way I aimed at on of their legs and the released my arrow. It went straight into his leg. He fell on the ground in a cry of pain. The other campers noticed what happened and they hid behind the trees.
I noticed they were creating were I couldn't shot them, so I jumped down. I reached in my boots and grabbed my daggers. I saw one of them sneaking up on Percy. Before I could say anything Percy turned around and started to battle. I started to look for the other two campers. Before I got anywhere something warned my to turn around. I did and right when I did there was a sword coming for me. I used my daggers to block the blow but since he was so close it still set me to the ground. He stabbed the ground as I rolled away as fast as I can. As he started to recover I stood up and ran at him. He was prepared for me but instead of going straight forward I went around him and hit him in the head with my dagger.
Once I made sure he was knocked out I turned to look at Percy. He was battling still but he looked like he was winning. He hit the guy knocking him out like I did. We looked at each other. Then I remembered the fourth person.
I felt something hit me hard in my side that was injured. I yelled out. Percy started to head over but I told him to stay there. I grabbed hold on my dagger that I had dropped. As the person got ready to hit my unconscious I knocked his feet out from under him. He fell and then I kicked him in the face causing him to go unconscious.
Percy ran over to me and asked if I was okay. I told him I'm fine. Before we got to say anything else we heard more people moving to where we were. I grabbed my bow and got an arrow ready. Just when I was about to shot. The some of the Ares kids came throw with the flag.
Everyone started to congratulate each other with hugs, high fives, and whatever boys do. Then everyone stopped and looked at me. I started to get scared. But then I saw something shiny over my head. Knowing what it was started to make me worried. I looked up to find the lighting bolt that Zeus had claimed me with but there was something else. Above the lighting bolt was a moon.
There has to be a mistake because Artemis has no kids she made a vow to never have kids.
"All hail Willow daughter of Zeus, and Artemis," Chiron said as everyone bowed.

~Time Skip~
After the Capture the flag and being claimed again I headed to my room. When I got to my room I changed into some pajamas. I brushed my teeth and then grabbed a book. I went and sat down on my bed and started to read my book. Before I could read very far I was interrupted. With a big blinding light, my father was in the room. 
"Father," I said turning to look at him
"Hello daughter," he said
"I thought you could use some explanations to what just happened," he said 
"Yes that would be nice," I said 
"Okay, so I'll start from the beginning. When Artemis asked to not have any kids I agreed. But however a year before you were born she came to me saying she was sad that she had no kids." he said
"She was lonely," I asked
"Yes. I told her to next baby that one of use had she could put her DNA into. We had a vote and everyone agreed to this so it was to be. Later on, I found a beautiful woman that I loved. Her name was Elizebeth. I started to spend more time with her and I told her who I was but she still loved me. She had a little baby girl." he said
"That was me wasn't it?" I asked
"Yes," he said
"One question before you continue," I asked
"What," he said 
"Why did you name me Willow," I asked
"Well, your real mother and I couldn't decide. I remembered the promise I gave Artemis. I told Elizebeth and she was okay with it. I told Artemis to come and when she did we all started to talk about a name. Elizebeth thought of Aspen but Artemis thought it sounded too much like a Demeter name so we thought of a different name then Artemis thought of Willow at first we didn't like it but then we couldn't find anything else and that names seemed fitting." he said
"Oh wow," I said not knowing what else to say.
"anything else?" he asked
"Yes. What happened to my real mother" I asked
"She passed away a little after you were born. She had gotten sick and there was nothing we could do about it" he said 
"Oh," I said. 
"Well you should get some rest," he said 
"Ok thank you father," I said putting my book down.
"Good night daughter," he said before he left. 
After he left I fell asleep and sleep like a rock for the first time in a long time.  

- I know I haven't updated in a long time but I moving bedrooms and it is taking a lot of work. I'll try to update faster and still have a lot for you guys to read.
