Daughter of a Myth

Chapter 13

  The dream came again. I was standing next to the mountain in the forest. All around me there were monsters. Orion came and I ran and jumped at him. He threw me into a tree and I fell. He grabbed his bow and nocked an arrow into it. Aiming it at Percy he let go. Before I could see what happened everything went black. I heard a scream but couldn't tell who's it was. Then the laughter of Orion came. He laughed and laughed.

I shot awake to see that Percy and Lucas were still asleep. I stood up and began to walk around. There was a tall tree next to where we were. Grabbing the book that I had packed I climbed the tree. Once I found a comfy spot I opened the book and began to read.

"Willow!" someone called. I looked down to see that both boys were up.

"Willow!" Lucas called. I jumped down and looked at them.

"Hey guys," I said

"Where were you?" Percy asked

"In the tree reading," I said

"Well we should leave before someone comes are something," he said

"Okay let's go," I said walking over to midnight

Midnight had slept right next to me. When I got over to her I put her saddle back on and climbed on. We took off to the mountain. We had been flying for a few hours now and we just came up on the mountain. Once we got there we all landed on the ground and headed to the base of the mountain. I looked around at the forest looking to see if there was any sign that there was an army of monsters waiting for us.

"Willow," Lucas said

"Sorry, what?" I asked

"Were here what should we do next?" he asked

"Climb," I said

"Joy," Percy said sarcastically

"Let's do this," Percy said again. Then we sent out up the mountain.

~Time Skip~

We had found a path halfway up the mountain. Then we started to use it the path to get the rest of the way up. When we reached the top we all hid behind a rock. I had found some of the armies. I looked over to where Artemis the goddess was holding up the sky. Her eyes connected with mine and I felt a connection to her. Her eyes held pain and sorrow, but also joy, and love as she looked at me.

"Guys stay here I'll be back," I said

"Were are you going?" Percy asked

"Somewhere please just stay there," I asked

Before either could say anything I ran to a different rock. When I looked back they were both gesturing for me to come back. I looked over to rock to see Artemis much better.

"Go while you can child," she said in my head

"I came to help you and that is what I plan on doing," I said

"You must," she said

"What do I need to do to help you?" I asked

"I need to sky to be off my back so I can get Atlantis back under here," she said

"Ok," I said

"You can come over here and I will tell you what to do," she said

"How do I get over there?" I asked

"Tink of an animal and then come here," she said. I thought of a rabbit. Then all of a sudden by bones felt like they were breaking. I gasped. When the pain went away I was a rabbit. I went over to where Artemis was.

I hopped as fast as a rabbit can hop. I got to where Atlantis was and slowed down. He moved, and his foot nearly crushed me. He looked around and straight were I left my friends. However, they no were in sight. Then I started hoping again to where Artemis was. When I got there I realized I had no idea how to become a human again. I started to panic.

"Willow, calm down," she said

"How do I change?" I asked

"Think of yourself and you will change," she said. I did. Then like last time I felt my bones bending and when I looked I was human again.

"Ok ready to know what you must do," she asked

"No," I said. I stood and moved to where Artemis was.

"What are you doing," she asked.

"helping you," I said.

I stood right next to her helping lift the sky. Once she was all the way standing up I shoved her away. She turned back to me.

"What are you doing?" she asked

"Letting you get Atlanta's," I said

"No. I cannot let you do that you'll die," she said

"I'll be fine just get him back under here," I said. She nodded before running off yelling at Atlanta. I saw Pery and Lucas jump out from the rock and start fighting as well.
