Jack's POV
Bob honks the horn on the car signaling that I need to hurry up. I grab my wallet and put on my flat cap. My hand grabs the door knob and turn it. I close the door behind me going over to the car. I open the door and look over to my house to make sure the door closed. However my eyes trail over to Mark's house where I see him getting ready for Lucas. Whatever he can go on his fucking date if he wants. I'll be eating a pound of pancakes.
I climb inside the car and close the door behind me. My hand grabs the seatbelt and I buckle myself in. Bob then drives us away to the pancake hut.

"I seriously could eat pancakes forever," I say with a smile taking another bite of my chocolate chip pancakes with raspberries."You'd get bored with it pretty soon," Bob tells me.
"Probably, but unlimited pancakes though. Sounds like a dream come true."
The woman brings us our check and we all split it evenly. Once I finish my last bite we then get up and go to the game shop across the street. Well it's more of games, TV shows and other various 'nerdy' things. All of us walk in together and separate through the shop. I wonder around looking at the various card games not really having a sense to buy anything. They don't have a lot of things I really desperately need. So I just wait by the door for the guys.
Once they have their stuff or are finished looking we head out to go to Felix's place.

"Jack you better hurry up and ask Mark on a date before him and Lucas become a thing," Wade reminds me."I'm working on it okay."
"You just say that because you are going to procrastinate since you're scared," Bob tells me and the bad thing is that he's right.
"Me scared," I scoff looking away from everyone.
"Jack just text him right now. He'll answer later after this Lucas thing," Felix orders me.
I grab my phone and open up my messages. Once I click on Mark I tell him that I need to ask him something. After I do that we decide to play cards against humanity since why the fuck not? It'll be better than facing my problems.

Each of us take a round on the console to play a new game. It's not my turn yet so I eat pretzels watching. Wade sits beside me texting his girlfriend every once in a while. Suddenly there's a knock on the door and I get up to answer it. I open up the door and there stands Mark with a backpack and a grin.
"Hey Mark!""Hey," He says letting himself in.
Mark walks to the living room and I follow close behind him. He sits in my spot and I sit beside him. Nobody says a word to him at all. Mostly since they're invested in the game. After a while it's my turn with Wade. Mark didn't feel like playing even though we could do a three player mode. Instead he just plays around on his phone. If he's gonna come over then you should at least talk to us. Just saying.
"Jack didn't you need to ask me something," Mark brings up the text."Oh...uh....yeah," I say as they pause the game and stare at me with eyes of guilt. I can hear their voices in my mind telling me to tell him.
"Can I tell you in the kitchen?"
Mark nods and I get up to go to the kitchen, he follows me and Felix give me a thumbs up for reassurance. I nod and sit on the counter. Mark sits on the one across from me with a smile.
"So what did you need to tell me?""I was wondering if you wanted..." I pause for a moment and look behind me at the guys, they all motion for me to go on. I take a breath and just go for it, "if you wanted to go on a date with me tomorrow."
Mark doesn't say a word. There is no emotion in his face. His eyes go to the floor. Mark then starts to chuckle to himself and it turns into a laugh. Does he think this is funny? Does he think this is a joke? Lucas must be rubbing off on him.
"Jack, Lucas and I are together. He beat you to it," he chuckles.
