Absent

Sub calmly walked into the school. He was immediately greeted by a familiar face.

"Hi Sub."

"Hello Sareena!" He shouted. "HOW ARE YOU TODAY?!"

She laughed. "Im fine. Whatta bout you?"

"Feeling pretty frickin good. BY THE WAY! Did you finish your science homework?"

She nodded. "It was easy."

He nodded as well and took out a blank piece of paper. "Not for me."

She looked at the paper. "Don't you have science first period?"

"Yup I do."

She nodded. "Want some help?"

"That would be nice."

They sat down and Sareena started to explain everything to Sub. After a few minutes, Sub put his sheet away.

"Wow. That was fast." She laughed.

"Yea, you explained everything so clearly. You should be my goddamn teacher!"

She smiled, "That would be cool besides the part that im not smart."

"WHAT?! You're insane! Look at this!" He takes out the sheet and points at it. "You explained everything to me!! AND I ACTUALLY UNDERSTOOD!!!!"

"Well science is my best class...Im horrible at math and even worse at english."

"So then you can be my science teacher. Who needs Mr. Tsung anyways?"

Sareena laughed and SUDDENLY Scorpion appeared.

"KUAI LIANG!!"

"HANZO!!"

Scorpion shook his head. "NO! I HAVE NO TIME FOR THIS!!" He lifted Sub from the chair and ran towards the entrance of the school. "WHO THE HELL IS THIS?!" He asked pointing to a boy with a plain black T-shirt and jeans.

"Yo."

"Scorpio! Wassup dude?!" Sub asked and high-fived the boy.

"Not much dude. This is an interesting school." He said looking at the building.

Sub nodded and turned towards Scorpion. "Scorpion I told you about my cousin yesterday! This is Scorpio remember?"

Scorpion stared at Sub-Zero with a blank expression. "Scorpio? THAT'S BASICALLY MY NAME!!!"

"Then we can just call you Hanzo." Sub suggested.

Hanzo narrowed his eyes. "How DARE you." He slowly backed away into the school.

"Did I do something?" Scorpio asked.

"Nah, of course not. He's just a little insane. Don't worry about it! This is mah friend, Sareena." Sub said gesturing towards Sareena who calmly stood next to Sub.

"Hello."

"Hi."

"WONDERFUL! Scorpio I need to introduce you to the whole school C'MON!!" Sub lifted Scorpio on his shoulder and sprinted away. "SEE YA LATER SAREENA!!!!" He shouted from a distance.

She waved as he disappeared.

INSIDE THE SCHOOL

Liu Kang stood by Smoke who intensely stared at the wall.

"What the hell are you looking at Smoke?!" Liu asked after 10 more minutes.

"Shhhh." He pressed his ear against the wall. "Hmm, I hear Mileena's voice..."
