Chapter 3 the test

I spend the next three weeks learning my new abilities, testing them, honing my skills. After my three weeks of training my gym teacher, John, tests me. And the whole school seems to know some degree of magic, I also learned how to sense others magic strength and compared theirs to mine, everyone else's was tiny to mine, but the teachers were on a whole new level to mine so if I wanted to win this match I would need to hit hard and fast. The teacher who gave me the book, Mr. Heart, started the match with the blow of a whistle, I run straight at John and the yell "Fire Boost" and fly into the air bringing my foot down saying "Smashing Flame" landing my foot perfectly on my target sending a small shockwave around, but then I see that he blocked my attack. He yells "Whirling Flame" which sends me flying into the air, I use this to my advantage and cast "Crushing Phoenix" which engulfs my whole body and hurtles me at him with mock speed, he attempts to block but fails to do so as I fly into him, knock him halfway across the gym. He try's to get back up but can't, he wasted his magic power trying to block my last attack. And with that I hold my fist to the air as a sign of victory, and every one cheers.

The next thing that happened was unexpected to everyone, I was suddenly hit in the face with a small ball of water, I look in the direction it came from and I see a group of people in blue with water droplets on their belongings and at the front of them I see the most beautiful petite girl I had seen. I had to bring myself back to the real world because they had attacked me with the opposite element of my own which pist me off. "I'm sorry if we are interrupting but we been waiting for some time for you to choose a champion." The girl says quietly. I answer her coldly "I'm their champion and I just passed my test, so if you have a problem you can speak to me." "Maybe we got off on the wrong foot, I'm Jennifer Droplet. And I'm a Water Mage."
