Chapter 4 Water Mage

Jennifer's pov

Wow this guy's got an enormous amount of magic power, he must be pretty powerful, I'll just have to see how strong he really is. "May I ask why a Water Mage is at a high school full of fire mages?" He asks coldly, dam it and I thought he was kind of cute, but it seams he's cold and ruthless.

Andrew's pov

"You may." She answers in a hurt voice but is trying her best to hide it. "I'm here to challenge you to a battle." She says as she throws another ball of water at my head, but this time I'm ready for it. I breathe in and say "dragons' breath" as a blast of fire comes out of my mouth evaporating the small ball, but then in the corner of my eye, I see the water fountains shaking with water gushing out, rushing at me. "Fire Boost" I yell as I fly into a trap of water above my head. I start thinking I'm screwed but then I remembered an advanced spell. I float there a minute with my eyes closed honing my magic energy, then I release it creating an explosion breaking her bubble. I land not far in front of her, and see her shocked that was I was able to disable her spell. As soon as I charge at her she comes to her senses but is still to slow as I stop my fist in front of her face. She slides to the floor and starts crying "I've failed." she bawled. "Hey, I say you did well." I comfort her. She looks at me then starts blushing, I keep talking "you almost had me up there." I smile as I offer my hand to help her up.

Jennifer's pov

I look down at my shoes thinking, maybe I was wrong about him. "Thank you" then without little thought at I suddenly blurt out "Maybe we can hang out some time?" Then I turn red from embarrassment at what I just said. Then I hear him say "yeah, that would be great."

12 minutes later

As we walk back to the bus to Riverside high, I look back at Lavastone high and see him waving good bye to us. I blush and wave back at him and smile at my good fortune.
