Chapter 6 lightning and fire

Jenneifer's pov

It has been two days since I've last seen Andrew and I'm starting to feel empty without him. I mean we only just meet, yet I feel attached to him. Sparks start shooting down the hall, Oh no their back...

A few minutes later

Andrew's pov

It not the same fighting monsters with out Jennifer alongside me, that's it I can't take it anymore, I'm heading to Riverside high. I get to Riverside and something is going on in the gym, I head in and see Jennifer on the floor passed out and a blonde guy with a sleeveless yellow and black jacket standing over her with a smirk on his face, then he sees me in my red hoodie and says "well, well, well it seems Lavastones' champion came for a visit to Riverside." "Yeah, who the hell are you?" I say with a glare. "Name's Jackel and I'm from Thunder Cloud high." Showing his fangs, so he's a Lightning Mage, "kind of unfair fighting a Water Mage, bit of a hollow victory don't you think?" I mock him. "What, you think you're better than me?" His tone gets deeper. "It's obvious that I am!" I yell. Some of the students pick Jennifer up, she looks up at me and whispers "don't do it." I reply "sorry but I have to."

"Listen i'll make you a deal, I win you leave Riverside alone, you win I become your personal punching bag for the rest of my life." I say. He smirks "I like those odds." A teacher starts the Match and immediately he yells "Bolt" and tries to shoot me, so I barely dodge the blast of electricity and yell "Whirling Flame" as my flaming tornado spins towards him as he yells "thunder stomp" destroying my whirl wind. "That's it, Crimson flames!" I yell as my whole body bursts into flames, I then run at him and tackle him burning him with flames as hot as the underworld. He yells in pain as his skin burns on his chest and arms, his jacket ripped and melted, he grasps my arm and struggles to cast a spell "shock paralysis" and my body once tense and ready falls limp and still with a magic circle stuck to my arm, I really had turned into a punching bag now. With my fire now out I was vulnerable to attack, he looks down at me with a twisted grin on his face. No, I can't let him win, I was getting madder with each step he takes towards me then I notice smoke on my arm, the circle was gone. I waited until he was close enough then raised my arm and screamed "fire blast" a flaming ball shoots out at his chest "how the hell did you..."he stumbles back and falls "disperse the circle." I get up and charge at him slamming him back to the ground leaving a magic circle of my own on his chest called fire eclipse and jump back and start counting "three..." he starts to get back up "two..." he starts running at me "one." The circle explodes and he gets launched backwards to the wall and lands face to the ground. His friends run to him and lifts him up he look at me with death eyes, "I get back at you for this" he chokes.

After they leave I run to the nurse's office to check on Jennifer. The nurse looks up at me from her clip board "who might you be" "I'm Andrew from Lavastone, I came to see if Jennifer was alright?" "she'll be fine, but the real question is are you alright?" She asks. I look down at my clothes and see their all ripped up. "I'll be fine it's Jen i'm worried about" "you're welcome to sit with her as long as you want" she says pointing to a chair.

Jennifer's pov

I awake with a start, I freak out because I left Andrew in the hands of that monster. But as soon as I start to panic something grabs me and holds me to it. I look to see Andrew there scratched up but okay "Good news, those jerks won't be coming back anytime soon." He chuckles. I look at him with surprise "you beat him?!" "Yah, I can't let him hurt you and everyone else." "Thank you"

He walks me home and when we get there my dad is not too happy to see a boy in a Lavastone hoodie walking his daughter home "who are you?" "I'm Andrew from Lavastone, Jackal and his lackeys from thunder cloud high payed a visit and I was just making sure she got home okay." Smooth Andrew my dad perks up "who won the duel then?" I look down at my feet "Jackal" "that's okay sweetie I could never beat a lightning Mage ether." I look at Andrew and say "but Andrew came just as I lost and beat him in a duel while I was out" "thank you for watching over her." "My pleasure sir." Andrew nodded and left.
