Chapter 5 the labyrinth

Andrew's pov

I sat there in bed thinking, then the thought of the basement under the school crossed my mind, so I walk back to the school and open the door to go inside. I stand there at the huge door for a few minutes then push it in just enough for me to squeeze through. I look in and whisper "flaming light" and look to the wall of the corridor and see a small metal tube with writing above it, fire here please, so I put my hand and then the torches on the wall lite with my fire, so I cancel my spell and walk a ways and run into a few dark wolves. They all bare their teeth at me trying to scare me, I look at them and sigh and focus my magic to the palm of my hand and started blasting fire balls all over. Moments later the wolves are a bunch of ashes and I notice a bit of blue cloth dart around the corner. I smile and start aiming down the hall the thing went down until I see her there with fear in her eyes, Jennifer. I lower my hand and she calms down, but then I think how the hell did she get down here anyway? She answers as if reading my mind " all the magic schools are connected by this labyrinth." "How did you..." she cuts me off "I can see it in your face." "Well, I guess we're partners then." I start, she blushes at this comment. We start walking together, and I think this could not have gone better.

Jennifer's pov

I can hardly contain how excited I am to see him again, soon we come to a room, he looks in first then says "It's empty we can go in and rest a bit. We booth sit against the wall and soon I start nodding off before I knew what happened.

Andrew's pov

I look down at her asleep against my shoulder all the while thinking man she like an angel when she sleeps. I yawn and join her slumber.

I wake up a hour later and look over at Jennifer who is still asleep on me, I don't want to wake her but we needed to get going. You know what, I'll just carry her back to the entrance to the labyrinth.

20 minutes later

Wow how lucky can you get with no monsters any where, this must be the door to riverside high. A large door with a picture of a water droplet is carved on it. I push it open and leave her in the commons area up stairs.

Jennifer's pov

I awake in time to see him leave "hey wait" I call, he looks back at me. "Thank you for taking me home." "No problem." he smiles at me. "I don't think you ever told me your name." I state. "It's Andrew." Andrew, what a nice name. He heads down to the labyrinth to go home, as soon as the door closes I start jumping and screaming for joy until five minutes later I finally calm down and walk to my house to end one of the best nights of my life.
