Ivy's POV

Alex climbed out of the car and walked, rushing into post office. I sat there and hummed along to the radio.

I was rudely woken up from my stupor when Alex came running over to the car squealing and waving an open letter over her head. I raised an eyebrow. She got in and looked at me, pure excitement dancing behind her eyes.

"We're going to pack your shit." She grinned like the Cheshire Cat; ear to ear.

"That doesn't make me nervous. At all. Nope."

"WE ARE GOING TO WARPED TOUR, BITCHES!" Alex screamed out the window. I laughed at her. I was also quite excited, but I also had my mom to answer to, Alex didn't have that. Her mom had disowned her when she chose her music over her mother's law firm.

She decided that she would go in with me in case my mom would have nothing of me leaving. The car came to a stop in front, and my mom came out, anger already seething from her. "Oh boy." I sunk down in the seat pretending I was somewhere else. Hell, anywhere else would be better. I could feel Alex getting worked up. Being a redhead, her temper was unmatched, and her orneriness was one that could not be rivaled.

"IVY BRAELYN! YOU GET OUT OF THAT CAR RIGHT NOW!" She screamed at me. I ignored her. "NOW!" she screamed from the curb. I reached for the handle.

"Don't you dare." Alex breathed. "Don't you dare give in to her." My mother glared at her.

"And you, you filthy slut, you get out of my drive way."

Alex snapped. I could feel her just absolutely lose it. "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! YOU CONTROLLING BITCH! THIS IS MY BEST FRIEND AND I AM ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR HER! YOU CLAIM THAT YOU LOVE HER, BUT YOU ALWAYS TREAT HER LIKE SHIT!" She was so angry, that she was crying. She slowly pulled herself together. "She's leaving. She is coming with me, so she can become something better than you have become."

My mother glared. "If you take her, I am calling it in as a kidnapping." She snapped.

"Go for it. She's 18, and when she explains that she left of her own free will, you will have wasted your time." Alex breathed heavily, trying to regain her temper before she lost it again. "She's going to get her things, and she's not coming back. She won't even look over her shoulder at your pathetic excuse for a life." My eyes darted back and forth between the two of them as the fighting continued. They fought until sundown. Finally I just got out of the car, and went to my room, gathering my necessities, and quickly zipped up the bag. She wasn't going to hold me down anymore.

"Where are you going...?" A drunken voice asked from the doorway. My mom's boy toy. That's fucking great. "I hope you don't think you're leaving." I nodded and tried to push past him. He slammed his big hand into my collarbone, sending me to the ground, coughing for air. "You are so ungrateful... After all the shit we've done for you." Rage filled his face as he took his beer bottle and smacked me across the face with it. Instinctively, I fought back, sending him sprawling as I rushed out the front door. I pushed my mom out of my way and got back in the car.

"Let's go." I said, fighting back the tears of anger and hurt. Alex started the car and we drove to our drummer, Gage's house.
