Dear Insanity... I messed up again.

Chapter 17

James slowly made his way onto the bus, careful not to hit me on any walls or doorways. He stepped up into the bus and the warmth consumed me. Ben came rushing over, fretting.

"I'm fine, geez." I sniffled, pushing away from James's chest. I landed with a sturdy thud on the floor. Ben glared at James and helped me up. Ivy burst through the door. She had her black bag draped over her shoulder and Sam followed her up the steps. She saw me and tackled me.

"Are you alright? I almost KILLED Lucas."

"I'm alright, just tired and irritable." I replied, pissy.

"Let me get you to bed." Ben offered, taking my hand.

"Oh, no I'll sleep on the couch." I said, waving him off.

"You'll have to fight me for it." Ivy said, smiling.

"It's alright. You can both have the back lounge. I'll set up some beds back there." Cam offered, grabbing pillows and blankets from a closet.

"Aw, isn't he sweet?" James joked, throwing an extra pillow at him. "Don't forget that one, ya tall lanky bastard."

Cam fumbled, sending blankets everywhere.

"You arse!" He threw a pillow at James. James ducked out of the way, and the pillow hit Ben, sending it into an all out pillow fight. Ben smack Danny in the leg and Danny threw one at Sam. Pretty soon, Ivy and I caught ourselves joining in, until we all ended up in a heap, laughing and panting. My crimson hair went every which way now. Ivy's black hair looked similar. She smiled from ear to ear.

"Well then, that escalated quickly." Danny said, throwing a piece of ice at Ivy.

"JESUS! COLD, COLD, COLD!" Ivy fished down her shirt and pulled out the remainder of the melting ice chunk.  She glared at Danny before carefully slinking over to him and shaking the remainder of his ice pack down his chest.

"OI! THIS IS HARDLY FAIR!" Danny screeched, trying to squirm out from underneath Ivy.

"Alright, alright. That's quite enough. Bed time, children." Sam directed the boys back to their bunks. Ben pouted and Danny refused to move. Cam and James were easy enough to convince with the promise of pancakes and waffles in the morning.

"Nope!" Danny said, crossing his arms like a stubborn three year old.

"Me neither!" Ben stated, holding his ground. "We want to spend time with the ladies."

"BED." Sam ordered, but to no avail. Ben and Danny were going nowhere.

IVY'S POV

I smiled when I saw Danny cross his arms over his chest. He was so impulsive and childish. I pouted at Sam, but it was Alex that spoke up.

"Sam! Let them be adults, just for tonight, okay, den mother?" Sam sighed.

"Fine. But you get to deal with the grouchy attitudes that come with not enough sleep from these two." He stated, jabbing a thumb toward the vocalist and guitarist.

Alex dived into Ben's arms and he enveloped her in a hug. She was so lucky! I stood there, awkwardly rubbing my arm. Danny pouted.

"I want a hug, Benny. You ALWAYS forget about me!" Danny poked his lip out.

"Hug your girl then, ya big sap."

"What if she doesn't want a..." I tackled him.

"I"m RIGHT HERE ya know. You could have asked!" I smiled down at him. Our eyes met, and for the first time, my stomach flipped.
