I Don't Get It

Chapter 2

JENNIFER'S (pov)

I woke up this morning late because Jason usually wakes me up via phone call, then I get up shower and by time I head downstairs Jace is usually sitting at my kitchen table with my Starbucks hot chocolate and a hunny glazed doughnut. Today was different.

No wake up call, no Starbucks, no doughnut and despite the recent events my eighteenth birthday is in four days and I have never spent it without the twins or Dasha. Wow I am so screwed. I got to school an hour late and missed my first period class. I have first lunch today which means Dasha and I would spend it together at our favorite food place in the world Quiznos. I didn't want to go into the school because that might mean bumping into Jason, so I text Dasha and told her I was outside waiting at my car.

Five minutes later I saw Dasha run up to me a pull me into a hug.

"You look awful Jenny" she said in my ear. "Thanks Dash really I feel awful, ready to go?" I asked her as we stepped out of the hug. She nodded then got into the passenger side of my car. Our lunch is an hour and a half long but to avoid all of the stress of line ups and seating we drive to the Quiznos closer to the mall which is a ten minute drive. When we got there Dasha and I ordered and paid for our food and found a seat, although the place was empty we didn't want the employees listening in on what we were talking about. "How are you feeling Jen?" Dash asked me while taking a sip of her coke.

"Well I don't know , fine I guess I mean I don't understand why Jason would loose his cool like that to me, but I don't care anymore I guess" I said hesitantly. " Liar Jennifer I know you. Yes you are strong but not when it came to Daniel, he was your weakness and Jason binging him up was a stupid idiotic idea and it made you cry so obviously you are not okay with it" Dasha said back

"I.........I just don't wanna talk about it right now please" I pleaded . " Fine but we will talk about it " Dash replied back. On our way back to school it was a little quiet other than when Dash was singing some tv show theme song. When we got back to school Dasha had to go to the principles office to pick up something so she left me. I decided to go to my locker and grab my books for the rest of the day. When I got to my locker I saw Jason standing there with his head down. I was about to turn around and walk away but he grabbed my wrist before I could.

"Jen wait" he said."Let go of me Jason you are wasting my time" I said trying to pull my wrist from under his grip." Just.......Just hear me out for a second please" he begged . I gave in and let him guide me to the school garden and we sat down on one of the benches.

"Jennifer what I said on Friday was wrong and I never should have said it " he said quietly.I felt my eyes get watery and I couldn't hold it in any more so I cried and when I got the courage to speak all I said was "Why did you say it Jason" Jason looked at me as his eyes started to turn green. when he felt guilty his hazel eyes turned green it never happened that often. " I.......I guess I felt like although you were somewhat with me you weren't but after I said those horrible things to you I felt like Crap Jen like total crap, I tried to call you but you were ignoring my calls and I just need to apologize because I would never hurt you like that ever. I don't know what got over me" he replied shyly

"Well you did hurt me Jason alot" I replied back forcefully " I KNOW THAT JENNA AND IF YOU WOULD LISTEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT I CARE SO MUCH ABOUT YOU, AND I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU. BUT I DID, i did hurt you, and your not supposed to hurt the person that you are in love with",WHAT THE HELL. Did Jason just say that he was IN "LOVE" With me? ME Jennifer Alexandre whoa. " Jennifer please say something" he looked me and took my hand. I had no idea what was going on I wanted him to mean as much as I did to him but it was tearing me apart to hear those words so I got up and wiped my tears." You don't. Your not nor will you ever be in love with me you got that" I said as I pulled my hand away from his"I need to go My lunch is over" I started to walk back into the school when I turned around and looked back at Jason, "Jace" he turned around to look at me, his eyes showing hurt." What you just said two minutes ago never happened you got that? if you wanna be friends with me again you will never bring those five words up again I swear if you do we are done as friends" I turned around and walked to my next class .This is going to be one hell of a day.

JASON'S (pov)

Rejection sucks, and the worst part is being rejected by someone you love more than anything. As I sit here in the garden at our school I feel tears coming out of my eyes. I try to wipe them away with me uniform blazer but they keep falling. I have never cried like this before sure when I was little but never at this age and she made me cry Jennifer Alexandre made me cry. I don't feel like finishing the day so I'm probably going to skip and go home, try to forget about her. I mean she didn't care she herd what I said and she told me if I ever wanted to be her friend i have to forget about loving her, how the hell do u do that. I got up off of the bench and headed to my Camaro, I jumped in and drove back to my house.

When I got home I saw our butler Henry in the kitchen he seemed to be making his Famous bugers so I decided to join him. "Waddup H" I said greeting him. " Ah Jason home early I presume something went wrong at school?"Okay my family is really wealthy, My dad makes commercials for a living and My mom is a doctor so they bring in some cash. However Jennifer's Family is one of the richest, her step dad is a big time Celebrity lawyer ,and her mom is a fashion designer so that is how we know each other our fathers have been best friends since high school same with our moms."Jason"I quickly looked around to see Henry waving his hand in front of my face."Henry I'm good just thinking I swear"I said back "Okay.......Well like I was saying before Burgers Will be ready in half an hour so why don't you go wherever you need to and I will buzz you down when they are ready" Henry replied. I started to chuckle "Geez H if you wanted to get rid of me all you had to do was ask" I said sarcastically. Henry shook his head and went back to cooking.

About half an hour later the Burger's were done. I went downstairs to eat and shortly after I was done i helped Henry clean up the kitchen and then headed up to my room for a nap.

I woke up to my cell phone ringing. I looked at the clock and it said three thirty school ended about and our ago. My phone kept ringing so I leaned over to my night table and checked the caller I.D. . It was my brother. I wasn't going to pick it up but knowing my brother he would keep calling until I did."Hello"

"TWIN" Jacob's name for me.

"What?" I asked annoyed

"Were the hell are you twin" he asked confused

"At home. Why were should I be Brother?" I replied

"AT BASKETBALL PRACTICE YOU MORON. HENCE WHY I GAVE YOU YOUR JERSEY ON FRIDAY NIGHT." he shouted into the phone

"Well tell coach I'm sick or something

"And tell me twin why should I lose coach's trust just to protect you?" he replied being a smart ass

"Because it is a favor and I always return them"

"well...................since we are doing favors I have one for you twin" I was patiently waiting for him to tell me

"OKAY SERIOUSLY JAKE TELL ME" I shouted back into the phone

"Whoa. Easy there twin you might just get on my bad side, but since I really need this favor i will let that slide. So I need you to stop by Jenny's house and pick up my biology textbook."

IS HE KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?

"WHAT" I replied into the phone

"You herd me twin whats the big deal anyways I know you guys already patched things up right? so whats the problem?" he said confused

I didn't want to tell him that nothing between Jennifer and I was really "patched up" but I couldn't

"Ya no problem I'll go right now just gotta get out of my uniform" I hesitantly replied back to Jake

"Yes. Thanks twin, I would say that i love you buuuuuuuuuuuut . I DON'T hahaha" Jake replied laughing in the background

"Ya whatever" I ended the call changed out of my school uniform, grabbed my keys and headed to Jen's house. This was about to get interesting.
