I Don't Get It

Chapter 7

JASON'S (pov)

He's back.

I cannot believe Daniel the girl that I love's Ex boyfriend is back here. When, Why is he here. This means losing my chances with Jennifer because she never stopped loving him and they didn't break up because they weren't committed to each other, it was because he left. And now he is back Daniel Morrison is back and he wants her I can tell, but that is too bad he had his chance and he blew it, but if I know Dan he will still try. Thinking about them getting back together started to get me angry my hands started to ball into fist. I was going to knock the hell out of that boy, until she started talking.

"Daniel" she said really quietly

"Ya it's me how are you" he said. Seriously small talk . NO WAY. I needed to get involved now.

"HOW IS SHE. How do you think she is you left her cause daddy was leaving then you brake up with her because instead of trying a long distant relationship you didn't want one with her at all" I replied angry

Dan looked at me and sighed."I never meant to hurt her" he said back at me. I was going to say something back but Jenny spoke before I did.

"Yes both Jason and I know that " she said giving me a 'don't you dare start' look. I kept my mouth shut as she spoke.

"We um, we have to go now" she said turning me around.

"Wait Jennifer" He said

she turned around and gave him her polite 'hurry up please' look.

"Um can we talk? Alone?" he said looking directly in her eyes. she gave him a smile. A SMILE ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW.

"Sure um.Today is my birthday so stop by at my house we are having a little get together" She is inviting him to the party that me and Jake plan every year for her?

"sure. What time?"

"Seven " she said the took my hand and pulled me out of the restaurant. We got to my car and I unlocked it and got in, but never put the key in the Ignition. I just sat there. she turned to me and stared at me hard, probably waiting for me to say something to her but i didn't. We sat in silence for about twenty more minutes before I started the car and headed to her house.

When we got to her house we went inside. At this point I was still quiet.

"Okay what the hell is wrong with you Jason" Jenna barked at me getting angry."SPEAK" she said shouting.

"I have nothing to say to you right now Jennifer please" I whispered

"Don't Jennifer please me anything this is your fault for getting attached to me Jason YOURS not mine. You think that just because I needed to get over him and you were there means you have the right to get mad when he returns, who the hell do you think you are? You know what I don't want Daniel anymore as far as I'm concerned our relationship was gone the moment he left but were in the hell do you get the idea to speak for me?"

"Stop" I said knowing she was right .

"No. I am not done" she said holding up her hand.

"you broke the rule Jason. Rule four of the best friends with benefits book. Don't fall in love you broke the rule okay deal with it. If you care so bad about me then maybe you should-------"

I stopped her mid sentence. I couldn't take it anymore so I grabbed her waist and pulled her closely to me and pressed my lips to hers and she kissed me back.I licked her bottom lip asking her for entrance and she let me in, I backed her up into the fridge and continued to make out with her. I planned to do this until she changed her mind about me. I lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around my waist without breaking contact.I needed her. I started to walk to her bedroom still kissing her. we got there and I closed the door with my foot and locking it with one hand. I brought her to the bed and laid her down and was on top of her. Whatever this was, it was getting heated and as much as I wanted to, she wasn't ready.

"you - Need - to - open - my gift- Jen" I said between kisses, I pulled away and looked into her eyes then kisses her nose."I'll be right back promise" I said then got off of her to run to my car and grab the presents. I came back inside and went back into her room she was thinking very heavily about something I just hope I never did anything wrong.

"got them?" she said looking at me.

"Yup" I said popping the p

she held out her hands wanting the gifts.

"Okay so this year you have to open my brothers first" I said handing her the bag.

"Okay" she said taking it and reading the card. I never knew what it said but knowing my twin brother probably some dog with big eyes saying happy birthday or something.

"O wow." She said looking at the picture frame.

" I remember this picture, look at you two . WAIT LOOK AT MY TEETH OMYGOD" she said.

I started laughing because she always hated that picture because of her teeth but loved it at the same time.

" I like that. I think I might just put it on my wall of memories". Ever since her dad died she made a wall of memories and every time something that was memorable happened she put a picture or wrote about it and taped it to the wall.

"you could or you could just keep it in the frame and put it on your dresser" I said to her

she looked at me then said something under her breath. I'm not sure what it was but I think she called me a smart ass. She got up and put the picture on her dresser , then she looked at me.

"Your turn" she said to me.

I handed her the tiny bag that had the box that had the necklace. I forgot a card Damn and she noticed too.

"No card?"she said looking confused

I needed to think of something and quick.

"It's just that good" I said to her smiling.

"Okay we shall see" she said while opening the bag, she took out the box and looked up at me.

"Was is this?" she asked

"Don't worry Jenny bear no engagement ring this year maybe next year" I said being sarcastic

"HA HA HA FUNNY" she answered back and continued to play with the box.

I stood there really nervous oh my gosh I never should have bought her that she is not gunna like it, Stupid boy.

"OH MY GOD JASON!!!!" she screamed out loud. My smile quickly dropped.

"You don't like it" I said more of a statement

"No. I love it I just . How much did you pay for this ?"

"It is a gift Jen does it really matter what I payed for it?" I asked kind of confused she walked up to me with the necklace.

"No it doesn't but how the hell am I supposed to beat this when your birthday comes again? Help me put it on?" I laughed then took the necklace from her. She turned around and lifted her long brown hair up with two hands so I could put in on.

I unlocked  the chain and put it around her neck.

"All done" I said patting her on the shoulder. She turned around to face me and smiled. She came close enough that our bodies were touching, then she grabbed my neck to pull me down to her lips. I kissed her without any hesitation and she kissed back she pulled away way too soon but I let it go cause now she was kissing me not the other way around.

"Thank you" She said then placed her head on my chest. I kissed the top of her head and put my arms around her.

"For you, anything. Don't Forget that. Ever"
