New Plans!? Maybe?

Emma: "You want me to stay here with you? Like live here with you?"

Derek: "Well yeah.. If you want to. So do you?"

Emma: "Of course I do. I've always wanted to live with my father and now I have that opportunity. But uhmm.. What about Jessica? I can't just leave her behind. She is the only reason I got through these last few months."

Derek: "You are not leaving her behind and if she is as amazing as you say she is, then she will understand. You can still text and call, and video chat each other all the time. And you can visit each other during the school breaks and summer vacations. We will all figure this out. Me, you, Jess and her parents can all talk this over together and come up with a plan okay?"

Emma: "Okay.. If you are sure. I just...I'd hate to just up and disappear from her life, like mom did to you, ya know? I think Jess and I have something great ya know? And I know that we are young but sometimes when you know you just know. And I know.. I know that I like her a lot. I have strong feelings for her dad. Do you know what that is like? To feel so strongly about someone like this"

*Everybody has tears in their eyes, and they nod their heads to agree*

Carolyn: " I know that feeling sweetie. I felt that with your dad's father until the day he died"

Derek: "Yeah sweetie, I know that feeling too."

Emma: "Who gave you that feeling dad?"

Derek: "Someone special"

Emma: "Like a someone special in your life right now or someone from your past?"

Carolyn: "Yes Derek, is there someone special in your life right now? Please do tell us all about this someone special that you speak of?"

Derek: "I am not talking about it.. What about you Amelia? Anyone new in your life lately?

Amy: "I do not want to talk about this either. Different subject..How about dinner? What does everyone want for dinner?"

*Emma smiles* Emma: " Jess and I eat pizza together most of the time. I like pizza. Does anybody else like pizza?"

*They all say yes*

Emma: "Dad what kind of pizza do you like?"

Derek: "I like Hawaiian or sausage, Onion and mushroom pizza. What about you?"

Emma: "I like both of those too"

Derek: "How does that sound for dinner with everyone?"

*They all agree that pizza for dinner is good*

*Ordering pizza and talking and watching movies the rest of the night until everyone gets tired and goes off to sleep for the night*

*The next morning. The only ones awake are Carolyn, Emma, and Amelia. Carolyn and Amelia are in the kitchen making breakfast and chatting*

*Emma walks in*

Emma: "Good morning Nana, Aunt Amy. How did you guys sleep?"

Amy: "Good morning sweetie. We slept good. How about you?"

Emma: "I slept really really really good. Like really well."

Carolyn: "Something tells me it was because of Jessica, Am I right?"

Emma: "It does actually. We texted most of the night last night, we even ended up video chatting each other until I fell asleep. She really helps me. Speaking of..Can I talk to you guys about something real quick while everyone else is asleep?

"Of course you can. You can always talk to us about stuff"
