*Emma hides behind Derek.*
Emma: "Daddy make her go away!"
Meredith: "What?! What did you call him?"
Emma: "Yeah. I know he's my dad. He knows I'm his daughter now. And you know what, he has more love and care for me than you ever have my whole life, and he just met me a couple hrs ago."
Meredith: "You do not talk to your mother like that."
Emma: "Why not?! You aren't and haven't been my mother for years. As soon as I was old enough to be home alone and take care of myself you started working so much that I only see you twice a week. I talk to you maybe once a week if I'm lucky. And the first time I saw Lexie was 45 mins ago."
Meredith: "That's not true. I love you and care for you a lot. I always have. Ever since I knew you existed. I am your mother."
Emma: "No! No you are not my mother. My mother would know things about my life."
Meredith: "I know things about you."
Emma: "Yeah. Like what?! Am I seeing anyone? My fav food? My fav color?"
Meredith: "No, you're not seeing anybody. Pizza. And green is your fav color."
Emma: "No mom. You got none of those right. Dad, what are the answers?"
Derek: "Yes. Meatloaf, and pasta. And red is your fav color."
Emma: "Yeah. That's right."
Meredith: "What? Since when do you have a bf? You never told me. Since when do you like meatloaf. I thought green was your fav color."
Emma: "Because I don't have a bf. I have a gf. I've always loved meatloaf. And green was my fav color when I was 7. I've changed a lot since then."
Meredith: "You can't have a gf. You're not even gay...."
Emma: "You finally got one thing right about me...!"
Meredith: "See. I knew it..."
Emma: "I wasn't done. I'm not gay, you were right about that. I am actually bisexual. And I no longer wanna see or live with you. "
Derek: "Meredith. It's been awhile. How you been?"
Meredith: "Just peachy Derek, I've been raising your daughter for 15 years. How do you think I've been?"
Derek: "Actually you haven't been raising her. She's been raising herself. You're never around. And trust me on this, I will take you to court for full custody and I will win. Have a nice life, you piece of scum."
Meredith: "No you won't. "
Derek: "I will once the judge finds out what happened to my daughter while in your care and the way you treat her."
Meredith: "What?! What happened to Emma? Emma sweetie talk to mommy. What happened to you?"
