Meredith: "I work to make money to put a roof over her head and food in the house for her to eat. She gets fed and clothed and anything else she may need because I work so hard to make money for us."
Derek: "Yeah. Well you work too hard because you haven't been there for her when she needs you the most."
Meredith: "I am doing my best to provide for her while doing good at my job."
Carolyn: "Meredith it sounds like you have done a better job saving lives than you have raising your daughter. She needed you more than anyone growing up and you weren't around half the time for her."
Meredith: "Who the hell are you to tell me how to raise and care for my daughter?"
Carolyn: "No dear you haven't been doing that. You are more focused on yourself and your career as a surgeon. When your main focus should be on that precious daughter of yours."
*Derek's sisters and Emma come back in*
Emma: "Daddy can we go home now?! I'm exhausted. I've had a long day."
Derek: "Yeah sweetie we can. Mom, girls where are you staying at?
Carolyn: "We were thinking with you if that's okay!?"
Derek: "I'd love that. Emma that okay with you honey?"
Emma: "Yeah. I'd love that. I've never really had a family. Mrs. Shepherd what should I call you?"
Carolyn: "Well the girls' kids call me nana. What do you wanna call me sweetie?"
Emma: "I like nana."
Carolyn: "Then nana it is."
Meredith: "Whatever. Have fun."
*Meredith walks out.*
Amy: "Alright who's ready?"
Emma: "Me aunt Amy"
Derek: "Aunt Amy? But you hate being called Amy!?"
Amy: "It's kinda cute when she does it. I actually like it coming from her. "
Derek: "Well alright then. Let's go ladies."
*they head to Derek's house*
