The Results Are In!

Emma: "Well she's like an inch maybe 2 taller than me. She's on the basketball, volleyball, and softball teams with me. So she's very athletic. She's super smart. She's really beautiful inside and out. She respects me and treats me right. She's always leaving me good morning and goodnight texts. She'll ask me if I've eaten that day. She even calls me most nights and we talk on the phone so long that I end up falling asleep and then she leaves me goodnight and good morning texts. And then she tells me the next day when we talk that its cute that I fell asleep. She's really funny. I'm always laughing or smiling when she's around or when we talk. She's super great. She has red hair and the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen. She enjoys spending time with her family. And I love that because they're all great and close as a family. So I spend a lot of time over there, which makes me sad sometimes because I don't have that. I mean my moms almost never home and when she is it's like she's not there."
Derek: "Well Jessica sounds really amazing. I'd like to meet her someday, if you both are okay with that!"
*Derek's pager goes off.*
Derek: "Results are back kiddo. How do you feel?"
Emma: "Nervous. Ready to know for sure one way or another."
Derek: "Okay let's go."
--They go to Addison's office--
*They walk in.*
Derek: "Well?! Am I a grandpa or not Addie?"
Addison: "Emma, you are NOT pregnant."
Emma: "Oh! Thank God!"
--They start walking back to Derek's office--
Lexie spots them.
Lexie: "Emma Grace Grey! Where the hell have you been? Your mother called me and when I answered she asked how my emergency surgery patient was!" *Lexie looks at Derek*
"Dr.Shepherd, I'm sorry if she bothered you. She always was too curious for her own good."
Derek: "She wasn't a bother. Scouts honor."
Lexie looks at Emma
Lexie: "And your mother is on her way here now. She will be here at the hospital in roughly 1 hour. She is gonna flip her shit."
Emma: "I'm not talking to her. And I'm staying here with him."
Lexie: What?! Why? What's going on Gracie?"
Emma: "NOTHING. GO AWAY! *Emma runs into Derek's office*
*Lexie walks away to some other part of the hospital.*
--in Derek's office--
*Derek walks in.*
Derek: "You okay?"
Emma: "Maybe. I don't really know. Lexie's right though. She will flip her lid."
Derek: "We'll get through it. Me and you together. I promise. I am not leaving your side during any of this."
Emma: "Thanks daddy!"
Derek: "What? What'd you just say?"
Emma, panicking: "I said 'thanks daddy'. Is that not okay? I'm sorry. I can call you something else."
Derek: "No honey. God no. I liked it. It was just a little weird. I've never been called daddy. I've never been anyone's dad before. It took me by surprise."
--45 minutes pass. Derek and Emma sit talking in his office when Meredith storms in--
Meredith: "Emma Grace Grey! You are in so much trouble. What were you thinking? Trying to lie to me, over the phone no less and then you hang up on me. And now you're in here with him" *Meredith points to Derek*
