As he lead me through his home, well.. mansion, I couldn't help as my eyes wondered around the place. Looking at almost everything and anything I could get my eyes on. His house was so beautiful and probably worth more than anything I'd ever own in my whole lifetime. It was so beautifully decorated but a man like him wasn't like Jaxon, to do it on his on for the leisure of it. i'd already figured that he had hired maids and what not to everything for him.
"Mhm, I hope you don't, mind it's quite small. But this is only temporary shawty." he said as he opened the door to the luxurious bedroom. I got in and for a second I could've sworn my soul almost left my body.
Small? Is this what small really was to the folks in Harlem?
Never had I ever come across such a luxurious room in my life, maybe once in Barbados.. but that was a rich home. Far from what I slept in.
Rakim looked over at me and laughed softly, not a mocking laugh or a jerk one he'd been giving me all throughout today, but a cute one. "Wassup ma?"
He asked, reffering to why I was so amazed. In all honesty he was messing with my emotions. How can he go from being a ruthless savage towards me, to trying to flirt with me.
I didn't know how or where to even start with him. I wasn't even sure how I was to reply to him without any signs of anger. Because I knew we both had strong personalities and if we both went off alone like this in a room, it certainly wouldn't go well.
I simply sighed and looked over at him for awhile, trying to study the type of person he was but I simply couldn't. He seemed heartless. As if he wasn't one to care about anything besides himself and his wealth, but Jaxon's earlier words said otherwise.
"I think the real question is.. what's with you? How you gon act as if I'm unattractive, then next minute try be all sweet with me."
"I ain't acting sweet. I'm just treating you like what you are. A guest."
I rolled my eyes and cussed beneath my breath. This guy really was something else.
"You know damn well that ain't the truth, Rakim."
I said his name boldly and confidentally for the first time and he raised his eyebrows a bit.
" Shiiiett.." He mumbled.
"What?"
"I like how my name rolls off your tongue like that. Your accent, I dig it. Where you from?"
I groaned and made myself welcome to the comfortable bed beside me. "Look, man. i ain't bout to be playing no 21 questions, like I said earlier I'm tired. If you wanted to engage in a conversation like this, you coulda hollered but clearly all you wanted to do all day was stare me down and insult me." I stated in a more serious tone.
He looked at me like he somewhat felt genuily bad, or as if he really had nothing else to say. A split second passed and all he did was laugh again, then shake his head.
"Aight, big head. Lemme get you something to change into real quick."
I raised a brow and looked over at him as he began to look through the clothes.
"Who you calling Big head for?"
"You of course. You have a big ass forehead." He said as he collected some Puma jersey and socks.
I rolled my eyes and laid back on the back, I tried to fight back a smile as he began laughing at me once again. He soon joined me on the bed and just laid there beside me.
"I can tell you have a new found hobby of insulting me." I said as I smirked a little bit.
"Cmon, it's all for love. I like your forehead, it shines bright. Kinda like a diamond." He said has he looked into my emerald orbs. It was silent for a bit as we both just laid there. Looking at each other. It wasn't anything weird nor awkward, just beautiful silence and glances.
I cleared my throat and he sat up, handing me the jersey and socks.
"For you."
I smiled a bit. "Thank you."
I took them and got up, and Rakim's eyes widened a bit. "Oh, you finna do some striptease?" He asked getting all excited.
"Boy please." I laughed as I rolled my eyes. "Get on the hell out."
He chuckled softly as he rose up to the feet and headed to the door. Part of me wanted him to stay, so we could continue to be like this. He was funny, and quite chilled out. I began wondering why I wasn't shown this side of him earlier. I wouldn't have been so quick to pass judgement.
"Goodnight, Big head."
I rolled my eyes once more and shook my head as I laughed.
"Night, Diamond. " I mumbled the first thing he'd now imprinted into my mind when I heard the phrase "Big head"

He simply smirked, and with that he was gone.
