I started the engine and looked over at Amani.
"Am.." I began as I shook her shoulder.
She mumbled lowly and opened her eyes. "Mhm?"
Thank god she wasn't completely drunk.
"What's the address to Rakim's place?"
"What the whaaarghhh..?" She mumbled lowly.
"The address to Rakim's, hurry the fvck up we're an hour late."
She looked at me and blinked through heavy eyes then began to speak random nonsense.
Well, we're officially fvcked.
I hit the steering wheel as I ran my hands through my hair out of frustration.
I reached for Amani's phone and went through her contact list till I found his name, Rakim.
I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath for what I was about to go through.
I clicked 'call' and pressed the phone to my ear. It rang only once and he instantly answered.
"Where the fvck are you?!" His cold stern voice blared through the phone speaker.
I took a deep breath. "Don't yell at me like that, I'm not your child."
"My child? The fvck you think you talking to. Bitch I made you who you are today and you have the nerve to come here running away from me? Lemme tell you something if I find out you've said anything to the police about those bodies... you best believe you'll be the next in the coffin too." His voice began to become deeper, and serious.
I widened my eyes as I remained silent, the Goosebumps rising on my skin.
Bodies? What the fvck was he going on about.
For that split moment it was as if I went back into a time machine. Chris' body was all I could imagine. But this time it wasn't just me staring at his lifeless body with no regret. Rakim was beside me. We were Criminals. Stood together like Bonny & Clyde. Was Rakim really as bad as me to commit such a crime?
"So now you want to be all quiet? Don't forget I'm the one that saved you when you were running around these streets like a little hoe, you fvcking disgust me Amina. Wait till you get back we're having a serious talk for real. Where are you?"
I didn't know to confront him and let him know it was me or not, or pretend it was Amina. If he knew it was me, chances are he'd never let me leave because I'd know his little dirty secret.
I coughed and attempted to imitate Amina's voice.
"Beverly hills nightclub, with Rih."
I waited for him to rage but instead he just hung up, which was even worse.
God knows what the hell he was 'bouta do when he gets here and sees Amina off her face.
