The next afternoon I woke up in Amina's bedroom. I got up and stretched, yawning as I recovered from my amazing sleep. I couldn't help but feel like something was missing, like something wasn't right.

It was then I realized what had happened about Jaxon, as much as I tried to fight back the fact that he was gone there was nothing I could do.

Jaxon was the only person I could trust and the person who killed him was now begging for my trust and approval. How on earth did I get myself into this shit?

My thoughts were interrupted as Amina walked in, she went and looked in the mirror as she adjusted her hair. "Woah.." I mumbled to myself as I took in her appearance. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't hallucinating or somehow still in deep sleep. I mean it was no suprise Amani was fine as hell, but she looked amazing today. Amina wore high waisted pants with matching off the shoulder crop top. It wasn't exactly something I would wear, the print was different but it was very Amina-like. It suited her in more ways than one.

"Girl, you look so gorgeous..." I whispered to myself as I admired my best friend's appearance. "What's the occasion?" I asked as I made eye-contact with her in the mirror.

She smirked and put on her body chain. "Thanks babe. I'm going to see my- well.. he's an old friend."

I raised my brows and sat up as I began to become excited. "He?" I questioned as I began thinking.

Amina was like a closed book, she never told me anything. This girl was mysterious and full of continous suprises. She didn't seem like she'd be full of suprises I mean, a house maid wasn't exactly the last person you'd expect to have acquintaces.

"Yeah, it's a nigga. But it's not even like that don't trip baby boo." She winked as she smiled, flashing her pearly whites.

"Wow. I'm hurt. You can't even tell me his name, how did y'all meet? Does rocky know you're going?" I paused. "How long have you known him?" I probably sounded so nosy but I was so happy for her. It was about time she went out the house and did something productive with a certain someone other than myself. Being around the same people everyday could become boring, especially if you were cleaning a mansion daily.

She giggled at my sudden questions. "Okay his name is Sean. He was apart of my old life before I met Rakim, we almost dated but I wasn't ready to settle like that, he was also going through battles of his own. We were just at different points in our lives and a relationship wasn't going to work." She looked in the mirror and re applied her lip gloss. "As for your boy Rakim, he let me off all of a sudden. He's been in a good mood lately I guess, he's let me be off for a week."

I widened my eyes as I parted my lips. "Bish, a week? That's so good I'm so happy for you, you deserve it."

"I have you to thank Rih, ever since you came through he's been hella chill and nice lately," She looked at me and leaned on the dressing table. "I like this new Rocky."

I shrugged as I did my hair up in a bun. She wouldn't stop going on about how I was changing Rakim. I didn't change anything about the dude. He just had a sweet side which I somehow managed to bring out at times.

"But a week though, what the fvck am I gonna do in this house without you." I questioned as I was now doing up the bed.

"It'll pass it no time, boo! Don't worry before you know it I'll be back." Pause. "Besides, take it as some time to get closer to Rakim without no interruptions.. I heard the rest of the boys are going somewhere too. So looks like it's just gonna be you two." She said as she came to sit beside me, giving me a smirk.

"He definetly planned this." I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

"Hey you can't blame him, every time he tries to get through to you I'm always in the way, when you trynna talk with him he's hanging with the boys." She was right. Amina was always right. She knew exactly what was up before I even thought of it.

I nodded in agreement as I watched her grab her large Michael Kors handbag. I walked her out to the front door and gave her a huge embrace. "One week, but Imma miss your ass for real." I mumbled as I breathed in her perfume invading my senses. She smelt like red roses and sweet candy.

She hugged me back then pulled back as she tugged a strand of hair behind my ear. "Have a good time, and you get that dick girl." She replied and we both burst in laughter.

I rolled my eyes and pushed her shoulder playfully. "You already know I don't roll like that just yet, but as for you, I hope you get it gooooooood." I said as I wiggled my eyebrows.

The girl didn't even deny it, she just winked and gave me one last hug. And with that she'd pulled out of the driveway and was gone.

I headed back inside and freshened up. I shaved, exfoliated and cleansed my body for awhile. Self care was important, but it wasn't enough to fix the emptiness I was feeling inside.

After changing and getting dressed into a comfy jersey, I heard a knock at the door. I licked my lips as I felt my heart flutter a bit. It was him. "Come in."

The door was open within a matter of seconds and I was met with the familiar features I was slowly beginning to love. Soft plumb lips, a toothy grin that showcased his pearly whites, dark brown orbs that always searched my own intently as he welcomed himself on my bed.

"Morning." He simply said as he laid back and scrolled through his phone.

"Mhm, morning, how'd you sleep?" I asked as he then pulled me back down with him. I laid beside him then scooted over and rested my head on his shoulder.

"I mean you didn't sleep next to me, so Imma let you do the thinking on that one." I laughed softly as I shook my head, trying to shake off the way he made me feel when he said all this sappy shit.

I knew he was just saying it because being a flirt was apart of his personality, but when you constantly receive this much attention, shit starts to get to make you feel some typa way.

He locked his phone, throwing it above us like it didn't matter. He turned his head to the side and leaned closer. His warm minty breath was now fanning my face. I breathed in, and my eyes went to his soft lips. He flashed a small smirk our noses brushed together.

With that I fluttered my eyes shut and placed my lips onto his. Our lips collided and moved in perfect sync with each other, the kiss became more intimate as our tongues clashed and collided with one another. Rocky tugged at my bottom lip with his teeth gently, then pulled back as his forehead rested on mine.

"Robyn." He whispered low, but enough for me to hear.

I opened my eyes and searched his with my own. "Mhm?" I asked as I raised a brow. He looked serious as hell.

His eyes scanned my face then back to my emerald orbs as if he was staring right into my soul.

"Do you trust me?" He asked. The four words that I'd been asking myself too ever since I made that little alliance with him.

Rakim was diferent. He possesed an ego bigger than anyone could imagine. He had done many things that I wasn't proud of and had a difficult time letting go off, the Jaxon situation was just one of them. He was arrogant and at times it seemed as though he only cared about himself, the shit he said sometimes made me question who raised him.

Within a person there's always good and bad qualities and the more I was spending time with him the more I began to see he was really caring and sweet, but he had moments where he decided to show it. We hadn't known each other for a long time but there was no doubt that he clearly cared about my safety. He cared about me more than I did, which was a bit strange but it was evident in his actions.

"I.." I thought over the question again as I made my decision. I nodded once, then twice. "Yeah, I do." Pause. "I do trust you." I assured the both of us, and pecked his lips once more.

"Good, cause today's going to be risky as fvck. I need your help, and my plan isn't going to work if trust isn't involved."
