Amina's P.O.V
A similar feeling, I had dreaded for so long. The pondering in my head made me groan as I woke up to reality and glanced at the familiar yet blurry faces. I rubbed my eyes with my palms to give me better and sight. Rocky and Rih stood in front of me with sympathy. The same look everyone had given me when I failed to stick to my oath not to drink. I despised that look. It was all so similar and it was as if they thought I was just a vulnerable helpless girl who was stuck in a countless routine of drinking. An alcohol addict was who I was. I wasn't that girl anymore, I had to convince Rocky before he lost it.
"Rakim, no! I- I swear I'm not into that anymore just- He placed his index finger to my lips as he shushed me gently.
"Don't worry girl. You just get some rest, Rih explained the whole story to me." He said as he looked over at Rihanna and flashed her a toothy grin, to which she blushed lightly.
What was going on here?
It was as if Rakim was a completely different person. The shit I pulled tonight would've lead me to losing my job in the blink of an eye. But part of me had a feeling Rihanna was the reason I was still here right now. How she did it? Who knows but for now I'm more than thankful. I always had a good feeling about her from the start. She really was my first true friend.
"Aight well it's late as hell. If you didn't know baddies need their beauty sleep. It's your que to leave, Night." Rih said as she dismissed Rocky and turned her back to him, now facing me.
"Mhmm, right. The only baddie I see in this room is you, though." He replied and gave her a light smack on her ass to which Rih cussed and pushed his shoulder playfully. Rakim laughed at her reaction and they stared at each other for a bit then he left. It was as if I was completely invisible to these two and the whole time I stared with wide eyes.
"Girl, I was only passed out for a few hours, when did I miss your new relationship status with that nigga?" I playfully asked as I took her hand and pulled her on the bed.
She lay beside me as she rolled her eyes and laughed. "Hell no. I'd never go there with him Amina you know that."
I scoffed. "Well he sure would."
"True shit. But he only trynna get into my panties. Let's not forget Rakim is a major ho."
She paused for a second then looked at me. "True." We both burst in laughter as we brushed hands and hit knuckles.
Rihanna's P.O.V
"Man, tonight was dope. G o d you need to teach me how to get down like that."
Amina laughed softly as she flicked her hair. "Well, what can I say. Perks of being an ex stripper."
I widened my eyes and pushed her. "Say what?!" I yelled in confusion.
"Nah, sike. I just learned from other friends. I'll teach you bih." She replied as she tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Everyone was so hype over you man, swear niggas were gon be asking for your number but your ass was way too drunk." I said as I went through my camera roll in search of her dance videos.
"Really, was I that good?" She asked as she smiled cutely.
"Here, watch yourself in your natural habitat." I said as I handed her the phone.
She pressed play and she smiled, then laughed and dropped her jaw at some of her own moves.
"Damnnnn.." She gasped as she watched herself dance. "The confidence I have when I'm drunk is absolutely crazy. I would never do half these moves sober." She admitted.
"Well then looks like we're gonna be getting you drunk more often." I regretted the words as soon as they left my mouth. Her addiction. Shit.
"Shit, I mean, no. I'm sorry, let's not get you drunk ever again."
Amina's frown turned upside down as she chuckled lightly and nodded.
"I need some sleep though forreal, tomorrow's a busy day for me."
"You right." I agreed as I snuggled up into the blankets with her."
"But tonight was amazing, Rih. Regardless of me blanking out and forgetting everything I did have a good time."
I simply nodded in agreement. I enjoyed myself as much as she had.
"And I'm sorry for ruining your night by getting drunk I understand you probably wanted us to have more time together but instead you spent it looking after me, obviously." Amina said, her apologetic eyes meeting mine. This girl was way too down to earth. She warmed my heart.
"It's not your fault Amina, don't stress, seriously. Tonight's not the only night we'll have together."
We exchanged goodnights and dozed off in almost seconds.
What a night, huh?
