"I look good?" I ask as I walk into the living room.

"Yeah, yeah..." He waves his hand carelessly, keeping his eyes on the TV screen.

I rolled my eyes and walked in front of him, forcing him to look.

"Good?" I question again, placing my hand on my hip.

"Yes, now move." He replies, trying to look around me.

I again rolled my eyes and stepped aside. "Keys?" I ask as I grab my jacket.

He dipped into his pocket and tossed me a pair of keys. "It's in the garage."

"Is it the Bugatti?" I ask in slight hope and he laughs.

"Hell no." He grins with slightly furrowed brows as if he thought I was crazy. I huffed and looked at the clock before walking to the garage door to leave.

"Have fun!" Red calls and I chuckle and shake my head before closing the door behind me. I pressed the garage button, the door raising as I unlock the car door.

The light from the street lamp entered the garage as the garage door ascended, revealing a Dodge Mustang, two black stripes slicing through the red hood of the car.

I smirked to myself from my thought as I pulled off, clicking the button in the car to close the garage door back.

The engine of the red Mustang roared as I pressed on the gas. I loved hearing it pur; it was in great condition and the interior was amazing. Pardon my vehicle enthusiasm.

I finally arrived at the gala, the valet taking Red's car to park. I walked inside alone, being greeted by different colored eyes and classical music played by an orchestra.

Fancy, right.

After a moment of roaming through the crowd, I finally found Dick standing by Mister Wayne. I brushed my hair behind my ear as I walked towards them, Dick's eyes scanning around until they landed on me.

"Hey." I smile a little as I stop in front of them.

"Evening...Miss Brielle, was it?" Dick again plays.

I rolled my eyes and shoved his arm with my elbow as Bruce smiles and gestures his hand out to me.

"Good evening, Miss Brielle. Glad you could make it."

I nodded, "Seemed worthwhile, so why not?"

"Bruce's gala's are always worthwhile." Dick claims with a bright grin and I chuckle and shake my head.

I grabbed a glass of sparkling champagne from a server that was passing through the crowd. I took a sip before they began to speak about something else.

I watched the crowd as they did so, not exactly interested in what they were saying. Politics maybe.

"May I have a dance, Miss Brielle?" Dick asks, gaining my attention since I was just standing there with a faded smile, staring out into the open. It was the only way to zone out but seem like I was still in.

"Yeah, sure." I say, trying not to sound surprised from being taken out of my lala land so quickly.

He smiled and grabbed my hand, leading me through the crowd to an open spot to dance.

"See, it's not that bad."

"Huh?"

"You were out of it, weren't you?"

"Just a smidge." I answer, showing a small proportion with my index finger and thumb.

"Right, right." He nods with narrowed eyes as we sway, that playfulness still there. I laughed and admitted it.
