After I started needing air, I pushed my butt off the bottom of the pool and reached the surface. I brushed my hair back and wiped my face, realizing Jason was walking down the concrete path from the glass doors of the hotel.

It was now Friday night, and we were prepared for our weekend here at the Highland five-star hotel; it was only around nine right now though, so it wasn't completely dark.

After plopping his towel next to mine on a crosshatched beach chair, he flashes me a sensational smile while walking towards the edge of the pool. His grin made me grin before he jumped in and I blocked my face of the large splash.

I laughed a little until I see his underwater shadow nearing me. Before I have time to react, the back of my thighs are wrapped in his arms and he pushes up to the surface again.

I hold onto his shoulders to keep from flipping backwards, my knees touching his chest until he loosens his arms to let me slide back into the water. He tightened again when his arms reached my waist, my arms automatically stringing loosely around his neck.

"Was that necessary?" I ask as my legs enfold his hips.

"Not really, but I did get a good view." He smirks back, and I shake my head and roll my eyes while looking away.

He slowly began swaying and turning in circles in the water, his attention completely on me. My eyes locked with his, a small smile sweeping across my lips. He looks down at them, then leans in to kiss me, but I decide to tease for my own amusement.

I leaned back a little, making his brow raise.

"Did you just pull away from me?"

"Maybe." I grin, again wanting to laugh because I knew he was craving my lips. I hadn't kissed him since I let him take over, which was Sunday: nearly a week ago.

He tried again, this time holding my back in place so I can't lean back. So instead, I let my lip lightly brush against his before tilting my head up to break contact.

"Brielle, stop." He says like a sibling being nagged by a younger one.

"Why should I? It's funny." I reply, fingers slightly rubbing up the back of his neck and into his hair. I saw the small flare of pleasure warm over his cold-colored eyes, slightly making me wonder why that happened from such a small gesture.

"It's not funny," He finally replies, arms tightening around me, "You know how your lips make me feel and I don't appreciate being teased."

My eyes widen as my brows raise, "And you think I do? You tease me all the time-"

"No I do not-"

"Yes you do." I giggle, nodding my head very surely, "I never get to tease you back."

"You tease me all the time." He replies, voice actually not sounding playful and smile dying down into only a smirk, "Everyday. Every time I look at you."

A warm feeling ran through my blood from his comment, making me fall under silence. It's just sweet talk, it has to-

He let one arm go to grab my wrist and bring it down onto his chest where I feel his heart beating like a ticking bomb, ready to explode.

My lips slightly parted from how fast it was going, all comebacks flying out the window.

"Now that you believe me," He says, causing my eyes to meet his green ones again, "Will you kiss me now?"

My heart has no struggle taking over while my mind wanted to slap him right there. I knew it'd be for a reason, but my mind was being fogged from his intense yet gentle eye contact with me.
