It's been two weeks and so far, Jason hasn't had a problem with anything. Or that's how he made it seem.
Twice or three times a week, we'd fuck, and then I'd return to my room. I don't bother to make breakfast anymore, I leave earlier than I have to for work, and there's a completely different atmosphere in the house. It was not something I enjoyed compared to the other atmosphere we had, and it was getting difficult to breathe.
A small, inner part of me wanted to return to that previous atmosphere, but most of me just truly wanted to get away from the new one. So what the hell was stopping me? Nothing.
I tie my shoelaces before standing from my neatly made bed and grabbing my purse.
I head out of my room, pulling the strap of my purse over my shoulder while I walk to the front door. Red was walking from the kitchen, making his way towards me with his phone up to his ear.
"Where are you going?" He asks as he watches me reach for the doorknob.
"Home." I answer, swinging the door open and stepping out while shutting it again. I felt no need in lying to him.
My place was the same as how I left it. I still had things here, so it's not like I had to pack all my stuff from Red's place. That may come later, we'll just have to see what happens.
I plop my purse down on the armchair as I pass it, heading straight to my room. It felt pleasant to breathe my own air for a while, until I found myself being bored and lonely. I usually wouldn't mind the lonely part, but boredom is my nemesis.
I pulled my phone from my back pocket and began going through it carelessly when suddenly Izzy started calling me.
I answered gratefully, "Hey Izzy."
"Hello!" She says happily, "We need to meet at the cafe. I have something to give you."
"Just swing by my house. I'm back home." I explain and I can already feel her confusion through the phone line.
"What? Why? Is Jason there with you?" She asks and I chuckle and shake my head, laying back on my bed.
"Nope."
"Why? What happened?" She asks and I stare up at my ceiling.
"Nothing. I just decided I wanted to come home." I answer, slightly realizing that considering this house as home again felt rather foreign to me. That was also unusual.
"Mhm. We'll talk when I get there." She hums suspiciously, and I laugh a little, sitting back up.
"That we will."
I was slightly feeling nervous about telling her what was really going on. I mean, she loved Jason and I together like how we were. But maybe when I explain everything in detail, she'd understand.
Several minutes pass until there's finally a knock on my door. I walk from my room to answer and let Izzy in. She smiled when I opened the door, holding up a bag of small donuts: our pass-time-snack.
I smiled while letting her in. We head back to my room and I criss cross on my bed while taking the bag.
"So, what's going on?" She asks in that tone that sounds like she already knows, but she actually doesn't... I swallow down the piece of donut in my mouth before sighing a little.
As I begin to find out where to start, she grabs the bag back, "Don't hog."
I surrendered my hands, making her giggle and get comfortable for storytime.
"Okay, well," I breathe, "When we went to that club Saturday night-"
"Right! I never asked," She interrupts, slightly excited, "What happened? I heard you popped off-"
