EVETTE'S P.O.V.
Placing my coffee down on the table, I turned my head to the side and see people walking beside one another, some are running late. Then I increased the volume of my phone as I lean my head against the glass with a sigh. I still haven't apologized to Yojan, I know that I've hurt her and that's why she has been avoiding me lately. Looking to my phone, I see that it was only six o'clock in the morning and then I jumped on my seat when it starts to ring.
"Terrence? What's up?" I asked.
"How are you?" He asks me back, and the smile on my face has immediately faded. Bringing my head down then against the glass again, I saw Toby by the bus with his skateboard. Dropping it to ground, he hops on it and tried to do little tricks, but something is off with him. Toby keeps falling, it was like he couldn't concentrate at all.
"Evette? Are you there?"
"O-oh yes! I'm here! I'm sorry, what was that?" I asked, clearing my throat and tucking my hair behind my ear. Then I find myself looking back over to Toby who was now throwing his skateboard to the cold and hard ground as he sits on it, he slapped his hands to his face and then he sighs. Did something happen?
"I was asking if you're alright," Terrence replied.
"Yes, I'm fine." I answered quickly, my eyes are still on Toby who now has his chin placed upon his arms on his knees. His face doesn't really look good, I think something has happened and it is not making him happy.
"Are you really okay? You're with Toby, Ash. You still have three weeks til the end of the tour, I hope you know that."
I sighed. "I do, and don't worry about me, Terrence. I'm really okay, trust me. You know why I'm here, don't you?"
I heard him groan. "You wanted to look after Toby because you are worried about him. You want to take care of him, like a girlfriend."
"Don't say it like that," I grunted.
"Ash, however you look at it, it still is going to be like that." Terrence replied, "You love Toby too much, you even abandoned your best friend.."
I bite my lip, as I play with my cup of coffee, twirling it around slowly then tapping my fingers on the table. "You know it's not like that, right? Toby is heartbroken... he needs a friend."
"And I don't?"
"Terrence-"
"I've known you for twelve years, Ash. Toby is just someone you met three years ago," he shouted. "This was finally our chance to be together again.. yet you chose to go on to the tour with them. How do you think that would make me feel?"
"I-I'm sorry.."
Raising my head, I saw Toby falling off his skateboard as he met with the hard ground. I gasped, he was holding his right shoulder and biting his lower lip as he tries to sit.
"Come back home, okay?"
"I-I'll call you back!" I replied.
"What? Did something happen?"
"Toby-" I shouted. "Toby- he... Toby hurt himself! I-I'll call you back, Terrence, I need to see him!"
Hanging up the phone, I grabbed my drink from the table and quickly stormed out of the coffee shop that was just across the street where the tour bus was parked.
"Toby!" I screamed out his name and knelt down in front of him. Throwing my bag to the ground and then my coffee beside me, I held him by his shoulders as I help him sit up. "Are-are you okay? What did you hurt? Let me see... where are you hurt? Tell me," I was panicking, searching for every part of his body to see if he has broken a bone or something.
