EVETTE'S P.O.V.

"Here you go," Edward smiles as he handed me my food. Then he stuffed his hand in his pocket as he was walking beside me, also munching on his burrito.

"Why haven't you left yet?" I blurted. "You could've just left me at the hospital, you know."

"Yeah that's true," Edward looked at me with a smile on his face, "...but I chose not to."

"Why?" I insisted.

Edward scoffs. "There is no way I am leaving like that, you are hurt."

"Oh," I sighed. "But I'm okay! You brought me to the hospital and that's already too much, you can go to wherever you are going."

"Where are you staying?" Edward asks, throwing his trash to the garbage can as he unlocks his car and opens the door. "I'll drive you there."

"No I'm fine!"

"I insist," he replied.

"Really.. I'm okay! I can take a taxi—"

Edward grabbed for my hand as he pushes me inside of his car. I did not argue anymore, buckling the seatbelt with yet another sigh, Edward slips into the driver's seat and steps on the gas.

As the car was moving forward, my heart started to race. Keeping my head low while playing with my hands, I bite up my lower lip to keep the tears from my eyes to flow down my cheeks. I don't want to see Edward that I am crying. I have already cried enough at the hospital.

"I knew I had to ask you when I heard that you were leaving Orlando. I wanted to spend that night away with you. I know it was wrong.. even so, I knew I had to be with you for the last time.."

Slapping my hands to my face, I have lost it. Something inside of me was breaking and I cannot help but let all my tears stream down my cheeks. Why did he have to say all that? I never asked him to do that for me.. I never said I wanted to go to a ball with him.. so why..?

The car went to a stop as I felt a hand on top of mine. Edward slowly removed my own from my face, then carefully reaching for the back of my neck and pulling me close to his chest.

"It's okay.." he whispered, tapping me on the shoulder. "You can cry... if you are hurting, it is okay to cry.."

-Flashback..-

It is six o'clock in the morning and here is Toby disrupting my sleep. Sitting up on my bed, I grabbed my phone from my nightstand to answer his call.

"Yes hello?" I yawned.

"Get dressed!" He exclaims, oh wow he sounds really excited. What's going on?

"Oh why?" I asked. "If you're up for a Starbucks run, I'm telling you Tobes, it's gotta be your treat."

Toby giggles, "Just do as I say! I promise to treat you anything after today!"

My eyes turned into hearts, gladly getting off from my bed and throwing a bath towel right on my shoulder. "Remember what you said, Toby, or else I'm going to follow you until you die."

He laughs, "I promise."

Ending the call, I hopped on my way to the bathroom. I'm going to be seeing the boy that I am in love with first thing in the morning, who is not going to be happy?
