BANG! BANG! "I'm coming in." The door opened, the sun filtered in. Early morning sun. "Cmon. We're going for breakfast."

I opened my eyes. Oh, Sam. So tall and built, yet so sensitive and open minded. You're my favorite. "Good morning."

"What a change for you, huh? I'll meet you at the car." He smiled.

"Hold up." I stopped him from walking away and stood up. I grabbed his shirt, stood on my tip toes and placed a very small kiss on his neck, "You're fantastic, Sam." I let go and patted his shoulder. "Anyway, I gotta get dressed."

He stood and stared for a minute, "Oh, yeah. Sure." He did a quick 'I'm okay' smile and waved goodbye. I watched his silhouette through the curtain rub his neck and walk down the stairs. Priceless.

I got dressed and walked down to the car. Sam looked a little awkward, while Dean looked a little confused. I wonder if Sam told him? Maybe, maybe not. Would it bother Dean if I carried on with Sam?I'm sure it would bother Sam. "Where to?"

"Nice place down the road."

"Great, let's get going. I'm not up this early for nothing." I joked and got in.

It was a diner. Busy as it would be in the morning. We took seats at the counter and conversed lightly about what the day will bring and ordered our food. I got a belgian waffle with blueberry syrup, Sam got eggs and bacon, and Dean got biscuits and gravy with home fries and bacon. Course it has to be a manly breakfast. "What's up with you, Sam?" Dean finally asked. He had been twitchy and nervous looking since we left the hotel.

He looked to me for an answer and I just looked back, "It's just Halloween. You know how I feel about it." He said.

Dean noticed our minimalistic stare down, "Uh huh." He looked for my eyes, to his brother's.

"Anyway," I pushed back my plate and stacked the dirty dishes and trash on it, "I'm done, so I'm gonna go wait in the car." I went outside and stood by the car. The air was starting to get cold. Wait, so today's the 30? Oh, shit. I picked up my phone and looked through my contacts. Hopefully she hasn't gotten a new number.

"Hello?" That brings back some memories.

"Hey, mom."

After Kay left, I raced to finish my food. She was right, a nice breakfast was well worth it. But something was definitely up with Sam and her. I'll go talk to her after I finish my food.

Didn't take too long. I told Sam I wanted to go check on Kay and left him there. It's nice that he gets the hint to just stay put. "Happy Late Birthday. Sorry I'm not there to celebrate." Kay said. She was on the phone. I stayed back and decided I'd eavesdrop a while longer. "David came a said 'hello', though, right?... What about Jerry?... No, he doesn't talk to any of us very often either, that I know of... I'm a.. I'm off with some friends... Yeah, it's halloween, you know. So we're on our way to Vegas... No, I know..." She laughed. I loved when she did that. It was rare, compared to her dumb little smiles, "Promise..." She suddenly turned around and saw me standing there. The smile faded and she walked over and stood by me, out of the sun. "We're about halfway there... Anyway, I'll let you get back to sleep. Sorry for waking you up..." She looked me in the eye, "Love you, too." she smiled and hung up. "What'd you need?"

"Nothing, just came to check on you." I lied.

"Yeah, and I'm sure Sam is very happy that he got left with the bill." She smirked.

"He's fine. What's up with you two, by the way?"

"Nothing, why?" Her joy was swept away.

"Well, Sam went to wake up you, and now he's all springy."
