Chapter 14

.:.Althea's POV.:.

"I need fresh air. Come with me for a walk?" Wes asked. He had that cute, crooked smile that was always on his lips. He looked over my shoulder at Tyler and nnudged his head toward the door, telling him we were leaving. Tyler waved, as well as Carly and the rest of his friends.

"How could I resist." I chuckled and my hand finds his. We left the teen cluttered home and out into the fresh air, free of the stench of alcohol.

"I'm surprised you didn't drink more this time." He smirked as he remembered the last time we'd gone and I got a little tipsy.

We ended up walking to a little neighborhood park. I leaned against part of the playground and stared up at the sky, while Wesley kicked at the sand. He stood in front of me, that same cute smile creeping its way back to his lips.

"I don't need alcohol to have fun. Not this time." I giggled as I looked away. Wesley's hand gently caught my chin bringing my gaze to his. He pressed his lips to mine fervently, his hand brushing my hair back, the other at the mid of my back.

I pulled away to catch my breath and Wesley chuckled. He took my hand as we continued walking some more down the sidewalk. We got to the car and it was just in time because Keaton had Drews arom over his shoulder as he walked him out the front door.

Wesley ran to his side to help him and I opened the car door.

"You are not driving tonight man!" Wesley joked as they helped Drew into the backseat. He just giggled and smiled like an idiot before passing out. Keaton got into the driver's seat and we were off.

"You just want to stay over tonight? So you don't have to be alone at your apartment? And so I don't have to drive you over there. Not that it's out of the way. Because it's not. I mean-"

"What he is saying for real is he wants you to sleepover.... Not like that, he doesn'tt want you to leave." Keaton interrupted his older brother mid-sentence and chuckled.

Wesley sighed before he finally replied with, "What he said." and stifled a laugh. He rubbed his head in embarrassent, but looked over at me because I didn't answer his question.

"Sure. Sounds fun." A wave of relief washed over Wes. He held my hand the rest of the ride home, with a shy grin plastered on his face.

We got to their house and Wes and keaton lugged Drew into his room and layed him on the bed. As soon as they left the room Keaton went to his and shut the door leaving me and Wes in the living room.

"I guess it's just us two then." Wes smiled.

"Dammit. I don't have anything comfy to wear." I said, realizing I couldn't stay in this dress.

"I have some stuff you can borrow." He pulled me into his room. Wesley trotted over to the dress pulling out a t-shirt. He tossed it over to me while he went back to get his own                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        clothes. I pulled the dress over my head and put on the t-shirt, which hung to the mid of the thighs. I went to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my hair.
