Chapter 13

.:.Althea's POV.:.
As soon as we made ourselves presentable, I took a deep breath and held onto the door handle. Wesley locked his hand with mine and it was like the nerves flew away.
"It's about time! What took you so long!?" Drew said sarcastically. He exchanged looks with Wes and busted out laughing. Wes just gave Drew a 'what the hell do you want' stare down.
"Nevermind, I don't want to know. Let's get out of here." I shoved him away and he chuckled before finding his way back to the driver's seat. Wesley helped me into the back before sitting next to me.
"Jeez! You take forever to change! What's with girls?" Keaton joked from the very back seat.
"Wesley had a hard time picking out my dress. I told him he could choose." My eyes met his and a playful smirk slipped onto his lips. He gave me a wink before turning his gaze back to the road.
"Uh huh, having fun before the party, I see how it is." Drew laughed.
"Haha, you re so funny..." I belted out with as much sarcasm as I could and playfully pushed his shoulder. All he did was laugh hysterically.
"Am I totally missing something here?" Keaton whispered nonchalantly.
"Nawh bruh, you're good." Drew told Keats just as we pulled up to the scene.
We stepped out of the car and I took another deep breath as I stood and stared at the teen cluttered home. Pretty much everyone held a red solo cup in their hands. The music was loud enough to hear as we made our way down the path. Glares were on Wes and I, some dirty looks too. But not all were bad. Some girls looked at him and then to me, smiling and saying hi.
I wasn't big on crowds and I wasn't used to this. I don't think I could ever get used to this. Wes noticed my distress and in the middle of a crowd of people, we stopped.
"Look at me babe, right here. Just forget about everything right now. I'm with you, okay. Let's just have some fun, yeah?" He gently pulled my chin up to meet his gaze.
I smiled weakly, and replied with a nod.
"I'm gonna introduce you to some people." He locked my hand in his and we made our way to the kitchen.
"Dude! Whaddup." He bro-hugged Tyler, who I assumed was the host of the party. Tyler looked at me, then at Wes and smiled.
"Oh, this is Althea, my girlfriend." I held my hand out to shake hand but instead Tyler pulled me into a hug.
"Nice to meet you! Just have fun okay? Drinks are over there." He motioned his hand to the corner of the kitchen and talked to some people before heading back to the rest of the crowded house.
"Awh, you guys are too cute. Wes, I didn't know you have a girlfriend?" A brownhaired girl with the most perfect smile said.
"Thanks sis. I actually asked her a couple of days ago. This is our older sis." He looked down at me and smiled. Just then Keaton pulled through the crowd and shouted happily.
"Breezie! Someone wants to meet you!" Keaton said pulling their sister away. She made a confused look before they disappeared into the crowd.
"We're trying to get her to meet someone. One of our friends." He laughed.
"This is Ally, Natasha, Rex and Kenny." He motioned to them and they all said hi and waved.
"Where's Kyle?" Wesley asked the group.
